Intellinet 712231 19" Fixed Shelf, 1U, 345 mm, Grey
1U345 mm deep50 kg static loadRAL 7035 grey
The Intellinet 712231 is a 19-inch fixed rack shelf, 1U high and 345 mm deep, made of 1 mm steel in grey RAL 7035 and rated for a maximum static load of 50 kg. It gives non-rackmount equipment such as routers, modems, small NAS units, mini PCs or UPS-free power bricks a flat, secure place inside a network or server cabinet.
It is aimed at installers and IT teams finishing off a wall or floor cabinet where not every device has rack ears. Being a fixed shelf, it sits on the cabinet mounting rails rather than sliding out, so it is the simple, stable choice for devices you rarely need to reach behind.
Before you order: Check that your cabinet has 19-inch mounting rails with enough usable depth for a 345 mm shelf. Measure from the front rail to the rear rail (or to the door) before ordering, especially in shallow wall cabinets.
What's in the Box
- 1 x 19-inch fixed shelf, 1U, 345 mm deep
- Cage nut set: 4 cage nuts, 4 screws, 4 plastic washers
What It Means in Practice
- Everything needed to fit it is in the box: four cage nuts and screws for the rails.
- 50 kg static load is plenty for a router, a switch without ears, a small NAS or a stack of patch equipment.
- Grey RAL 7035 matches the most common light-grey cabinets; a black version (712521) exists for black cabinets.
- Uses 1U of rack space.
What Will Not Work
- Sliding or telescopic use - this is a fixed shelf, it does not pull out.
- Cabinets that are too shallow for a 345 mm deep shelf.
- Dynamic or moving loads: 50 kg is a static rating, not for equipment that is pulled in and out regularly.
- Black cabinets if colour matters - choose the black 712521 instead.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Fixed shelves are the workhorse of a tidy cabinet: they turn a loose router or NAS into a properly mounted device. At 345 mm deep and 50 kg rated, the 712231 covers most small-office cabinets. For shelves, cage nuts, cable management and PDUs, see our full range of rack accessories.
✓ Buy it if you have a light-grey 19-inch cabinet and need a stable 1U shelf for devices without rack ears.
✕ Skip it if your rack has only front rails - a cantilever shelf is the right type - or your cabinet is black.
→ Also consider Intellinet 712521 (same shelf in black) or Intellinet 715119 (1U cantilever shelf for front-only mounting).
Not sure it fits your cabinet? Send us the cabinet model or its depth and we will check before you order.
