The Intellinet 712798 is a 4-fan roof ventilation unit with thermostat for 19" standing cabinets, moving 144–165 m³/h (85–97 CFM) of warm air out through the cabinet roof — designed for comms rooms and server closets where switches, servers and UPS units build up heat inside a closed rack.
It is made from 1.5 mm steel with an antistatic powder coating in grey (RAL 7035), runs on 220–240 V mains and connects with a Euro 2-pin plug. Intellinet specifies it for its Standard and Basic standing cabinet lines.
Before you order: Intellinet lists this unit for its Standard and Basic 19" standing cabinets and states it is not suitable for its Premium line. For another brand of cabinet, the roof cut-out must match the 375 × 363 mm unit — send us your cabinet model and we will check.

What It Means in Practice
- Hot air that collects at the top of a closed cabinet is extracted through the roof, lowering the temperature around the top-mounted equipment.
- The thermostat lets the fans run when they are needed rather than all the time.

- It is not an air conditioner — it cannot cool the cabinet below the room temperature.

- It is not designed for 110–120 V mains.

Roof fans are the most effective way to exhaust heat from a closed standing cabinet, because warm air naturally rises to the top. Make sure there is an intake path at the bottom or front, otherwise the fans only move air in circles. For fan trays and other cooling accessories, see our rack accessories.
