Intellinet 712866 — 4-Fan Roof Ventilation Unit with Thermostat, Black
4 fans, roof mount95–115 CFMThermostatBlack, RAL 9005
The Intellinet 712866 is a 4-fan roof ventilation unit with thermostat for 19" standing cabinets, moving 95–115 CFM of warm air out through the cabinet roof — designed for comms rooms and server closets where switches, servers and UPS units build up heat inside a closed rack.
It is made from 1.5 mm steel with an antistatic powder coating in black (RAL 9005), runs on 220–240 V mains and connects with a Euro 2-pin plug. Intellinet specifies it for its Standard and Basic standing cabinet lines.
Before you order: Intellinet lists this unit for its Standard and Basic 19" standing cabinets and states it is not suitable for its Premium line. For another brand of cabinet, the roof cut-out must match the 375 × 363 mm unit — send us your cabinet model and we will check.
What's in the Box
- 1 × 4-fan roof ventilation unit with built-in thermostat and mains lead with Euro 2-pin plug
What It Means in Practice
- Hot air that collects at the top of a closed cabinet is extracted through the roof, lowering the temperature around the top-mounted equipment.
- The thermostat lets the fans run when they are needed rather than all the time.
- It plugs into a normal socket or rack PDU with a Euro-style outlet; no wiring work is needed.
- Four fans spread the airflow across the full roof area of the cabinet.
What Will Not Work
- It is not an air conditioner — it cannot cool the cabinet below the room temperature.
- It does not fit Intellinet Premium cabinets, and other brands only if the roof opening matches.
- It is not a 1U rack-mounted fan tray; it installs in the cabinet roof.
- It is not designed for 110–120 V mains.

Frequently Asked Questions
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Roof fans are the most effective way to exhaust heat from a closed standing cabinet, because warm air naturally rises to the top. Make sure there is an intake path at the bottom or front, otherwise the fans only move air in circles. For fan trays and other cooling accessories, see our rack accessories.
✓ Buy it if you have an Intellinet Standard or Basic standing cabinet that runs warm.
✕ Skip it if you have an Intellinet Premium cabinet, a wall-mount cabinet or 110–120 V mains.
→ Also consider Intellinet 712798, the same unit in grey (RAL 7035).
