The 318976 is Cat 5e with CCA conductors — the budget option for Gigabit data. A solid-copper Cat 6 or Cat 6A cord (e.g. Intellinet Cat 6 S/FTP) supports PoE, 250–500 MHz and, for Cat 6A, 10 Gbps; choose it for PoE devices or future multi-gig ports.
Can I use the 318976 for PoE cameras or access points?
We do not recommend it. CCA conductors have higher resistance than copper and heat up under PoE current. For PoE devices use a 100 % copper Cat 6/6A cord.
