Intellinet 716178 — 6U 19″ Wall Mount 2-Post Open Frame Network Rack, Black

6U · 19″Open frameSwing frameCage nuts included

The Intellinet 716178 is a 6U, 19″ wall mount open frame network rack in black (RAL 9004): a 2-post steel frame with no door or side panels, 500 mm wide, 450 mm deep and 360 mm high, with 400 mm of usable installation depth. The front frame is hinged and swings open to the left or right, so the installer can reach the back of patch panels and switches without taking them off the wall. Cables can enter from every side, integrity bars keep the frame rigid, and the antistatic powder coat protects the steel. It ships as a flatpack with a full set of 20 M6 cage nuts, screws and washers plus the assembly screws, and conforms to IEC 60297-3 and ANSI/EIA 310-E. In practice it is a quick, open and low-cost way to put a patch panel and a switch on the wall of a technical room.

Compatibility — check before buying:
This is an open frame — no door, no lock, no side panels — so use it in a locked technical room or riser. Load is 30 kg with the frame closed and only 10 kg when it is swung open, so keep heavy equipment out of it. Wall mounting hardware is not included: choose fixings for your wall type. It takes 19″ equipment up to 400 mm deep. The 9U version is Intellinet 716185. Send us your equipment list and we check it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it have a door?
No. It is an open frame rack for technical rooms. For a lockable enclosure choose a wall cabinet.
Why does it swing open?
The front frame is hinged so you can reach the back of patch panels and switches for cabling without removing them.
How much weight can it carry?
30 kg with the frame closed and 10 kg with the frame open, according to Intellinet.
Are wall screws included?
No. Cage nuts and screws for the equipment are included, but wall mounting hardware is not. We can add suitable fixings to your order.
Singular Expert Insight
We suggest the 716178 for technical rooms where a cabinet is not needed and fast access to the back of the patch panel matters. Keep the load limits in mind and order wall fixings with it.
