Inter-Tech DMG-31 — Wi-Fi 4 PCIe Adapter, 300 Mbps

Wi-Fi 4 · 300 Mbps2.4 GHzPCIe x12 × 3 dBi antennas

The Inter-Tech DMG-31 is a Wi-Fi 4 (802.11b/g/n) PCI Express x1 card for desktop PCs, built on the Realtek RTL8192EE chipset with two 3 dBi antennas. It works on the 2.4 GHz band only, at up to 300 Mbps, which covers web, e-mail, video calls and HD streaming. It has no Bluetooth. In practice it lets a desktop PC join your wireless network where running a cable to the router is not practical, or replaces an older, slower card without changing the motherboard.

Compatibility — check before buying:
2.4 GHz only: it cannot join a network that broadcasts on 5 GHz only. If your router runs 5 GHz, or you want Wi-Fi 5 speeds, choose the Inter-Tech DMG-32 (650 Mbps) or DMG-33 (1300 Mbps) instead. Inter-Tech lists no low-profile bracket, so it suits standard-height desktop cases rather than slim ones. Not sure it suits your PC or router? Send us the PC or motherboard model and your router and we check it.

Best For

✓ Desktop PCs without Wi-Fi
✓ Replacing an old or slow Wi-Fi card
✓ Rooms where cabling is not practical
✓ Home offices and studies
✓ Students and family PCs
✓ Small office workstations

Key Features

Two-antenna 2T2R design
Two 3 dBi antennas send and receive on two streams, for steadier 2.4 GHz reception than a single-antenna card.

Realtek RTL8192EE
A widely supported Realtek chipset, with Windows drivers from Windows 7 up to Windows 11 on the included CD.

Simple PCIe x1 fit
Fits any free PCIe x1, x4, x8 or x16 slot and fixes with the supplied screw.

2.4 GHz reach
The 2.4 GHz band passes walls and floors better than 5 GHz, which suits PCs further from the router.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it have Bluetooth?
No. The DMG-31 is Wi-Fi only. If you also want Bluetooth, ask us for a card that combines both.
Will I get the full 300 Mbps?
No card does in daily use. 300 Mbps is the maximum link rate Inter-Tech quotes; real throughput depends on your router, the distance, walls and other networks nearby. A router of the same Wi-Fi generation gets the most out of it.
Will it fit my PC?
It needs a free PCI Express slot; a PCIe x1 card also works in a longer x4, x8 or x16 slot. Inter-Tech lists no low-profile bracket for the DMG-31, so it is meant for standard-height cases. Send us the PC model and we confirm the fit.
Which operating systems are supported?
Inter-Tech lists Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and 11, with drivers on the included CD. Linux and macOS support is not published, so check with us before buying for those.
Singular Expert Insight
We suggest the DMG-31 for simple web, e-mail and streaming use on a 2.4 GHz network, where a basic, well-supported card is all the PC needs. If you are unsure between two models, tell us your router and how far the PC sits from it, and we recommend the one that fits. Every order comes with Singular’s local support in Cyprus. See our wireless PCIe cards or the routers and access points that complete the network.
