The Inter-Tech IPC 2U-2406 is a 2U, 19-inch rackmount server case with six hot-swap 3.5/2.5-inch drive bays and room for mainboards up to SSI EEB, for system builders putting together storage or general-purpose servers in a rack.
It is built from 1.0–1.2 mm steel, carries four 80 mm fans, and takes a 1U or 2U server power supply, which is ordered separately. Seven low-profile expansion slots and a 65 mm CPU cooler limit keep it compact at 2U.
Before you order: Check two things before you order: only low-profile expansion cards fit, and the CPU cooler must be no taller than 65 mm. The backplanes use SATA connectors; a SAS controller with SFF-8087 ports needs breakout cables, which are not included.

- Plan for a low-profile NIC or HBA, since full-height cards will not fit.
- Rack rails are not included — order a rail kit or a rack shelf.

- Full-height expansion cards do not fit — 7 low-profile slots only.
- Standard ATX power supplies are not listed; use a 1U or 2U server PSU.
- CPU coolers taller than 65 mm do not fit.
- No telescopic rails are supplied.
