The j5create JCD403 USB4 8K Multi-Port Hub, sold here as JCD403-N, connects a USB4 or Thunderbolt laptop to an 8K or 4K monitor, a 2.5 Gigabit network, two USB-A ports and a USB-C port at 10 Gbps, and passes up to 95 W of charging from your own USB-C charger through to the laptop. It is a compact aluminium hub for one monitor and a fast wired desk, driver-free.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The 8K 30Hz output needs a USB4 or Thunderbolt 4 host; 8K 60Hz and 4K 144Hz need a host that also supports DSC. Every host must have DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode. On a Mac the maximum is 4K 60Hz even on an 8K display (j5create’s own note). One display only. Laptop charging needs your own USB-C PD charger in the PD port: 100 W in, up to 95 W out (j5create’s spec table says up to 100 W). The USB4 host cable is integrated, 20 cm. j5create publishes no OS version list beyond “wide compatibility, no driver”.
