Jabra Engage 65 SE Mono — DECT Headset with Base for PC and Desk Phone
DECT up to 150 mPC + analog desk phone13 h talk time57 g mono
The Jabra Engage 65 SE Mono (9653-553-111) is a professional DECT wireless headset with a base that connects one USB device (a softphone or a USB desk phone) and one analog desk phone at the same time. It is built for front desks, offices and contact centres where calls arrive on more than one line and people need to leave the desk while talking. The headset is mono, one ear cushion on a headband, reaches up to 150 m and runs up to 13 h on a charge. The base, power supply, desk-phone cable and a USB-C to USB-A cable are in the box.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The Engage 65 SE connects one USB device and one analog desk phone — there is no Bluetooth or mobile connection and no touchscreen; for that, choose the Engage 75 SE. To answer the desk phone remotely, away from the desk, you need a handset lifter (GN1000) or a Jabra EHS adapter for your phone brand — neither is included. Without them the headset still works, but you lift the handset by hand. Spare headset for this model: 14401-41 (headset only, no base). Tell us your desk-phone model and we will confirm the right lifter or EHS cable.
Best For
✓ Receptionists handling desk phone and PC calls
✓ Offices keeping an analog desk phone next to a softphone
✓ Contact centres where people leave the desk mid-call
✓ Shared call handling — up to 3 extra headsets per base
✓ Crowded offices where Bluetooth is congested
✓ Users who want one ear free for the room
Key Features
One headset, several lines
The base links a USB softphone or USB desk phone and an analog desk phone, so one headset answers both lines without swapping cables.
DECT range and security
Up to 150 m of range and Secure DECT Level C. DECT keeps your calls off the crowded Wi-Fi and Bluetooth bands used by laptops and phones.
Battery and charging
Up to 13 h of talk time, 40% in 30 minutes and a full charge in about 90 minutes. The battery is user-replaceable, so one headset can cover long days.
Voice, hearing and busylight
Two microphones (analog MEMS plus analog ECM) focus on your voice. PeakStop, SafeTone 2.0, EU Noise at Work and G616 protect your hearing, and a busylight tells colleagues you are on a call.

Singular Expert Insight
The Engage 65 SE is the middle of the Engage SE range: it adds an analog desk-phone connection to the PC-only Engage 55 SE, but leaves Bluetooth and the touchscreen to the Engage 75 SE (9656-583-111). Do not confuse this with 9653-553-111-1, the Low Power build. Budget for a lifter or EHS cable if remote answering matters. See all office and VoIP headsets or VoIP and desk phones.
