Jabra Engage SE Replacement Headset — Mono Spare Unit for Engage 45 SE, 55 SE and 65 SE
Spare headset only — no base or dongleFits Engage 45 SE, 55 SE and 65 SEMono, 57 g, with busylightEMEA article 14401-41
This is the bare mono headset from the Jabra Engage SE series, sold on its own as a spare. It is what you order when the headset has been damaged or lost but the base station or the DECT dongle on the desk is still working perfectly — replacing the half that broke rather than buying a complete system again. Article 14401-41 is the EMEA version of the single-ear unit, and it pairs to an Engage 45 SE, 55 SE or 65 SE that the customer already owns.
Compatibility — check before buying:
On its own this headset cannot make or take a call. There is no base unit, no charging stand, no DECT USB dongle, no power supply and no cable in the box — it must pair to Engage SE equipment you already have. It fits the Engage 45 SE, 55 SE and 65 SE. It is not the headset for the Engage 75 SE, whose mono unit is a physically different part at 64 g with a 28 mm speaker, and it is not for the older non-SE Engage 65 or 75 either. It is the mono, single-ear unit — the stereo spare is 14401-46 and the convertible spare is 14401-51. Check the regional suffix: 14401-41 is the EMEA article and 14401-42 is the North American one; ordering the wrong half of that pair is the classic mistake here. One more thing worth saying plainly: the UC-versus-Teams distinction lives in the dongle or the base, not in this headset, so you do not need to match a platform when ordering the spare. Tell us the exact model on your base and we will confirm it.
Best For
✓ Replacing a damaged headset while keeping the working base
✓ Sites with a pool of Engage SE systems and shared shifts
✓ Keeping one spare in the drawer so a broken unit costs no downtime
✓ Single-ear use where staff need to hear the room as well as the call
Key Features
The half that actually breaks
Bases and dongles sit on a desk and last; headsets get dropped, sat on and left in bags. Buying the headset alone instead of a complete system is usually a fraction of the cost and takes the working half out of the bin.
Same DECT performance as the original
Up to 150 metres of range and up to 13 hours of talk time with the busylight off — the same published figures as the headset that shipped with the system, because it is the same part.
Busylight and status LED
The LED carries the busylight, the battery level and firmware-update status, so the replacement behaves exactly as the original did on the desk and needs no explanation to the person using it.
57 g on one ear
A single-ear headband at 57 g, for people who need to stay aware of the room around them — a supervisor on a floor, a receptionist, anyone who has to hear a colleague as well as a caller.

Singular Expert Insight
Spare parts are where order codes cost people money, and this range has two traps in one number. The 41 suffix is EMEA and 42 is North America, which is the split Jabra uses across its whole accessory range — a 14401-42 landing in Cyprus is the commonest error we see. And the part fits the 45 SE, 55 SE and 65 SE but not the 75 SE, despite listings that claim otherwise; Jabra’s own 75 SE documentation contains no 14401 article at all. Keeping one of these in a drawer is worth doing for any site running more than a handful of Engage SE systems, because it turns a broken headset from a procurement exercise into a five-minute swap. If the base station is what failed rather than the headset, that is the opposite half of the product and a different article — send us the model and we will identify it. The complete systems live in our office and VoIP headsets range, and lighter personal models in headphones.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
Your Engage 45 SE, 55 SE or 65 SE base is fine and the headset is not. This is the mono EMEA spare, 57 g with the busylight and the same 150 m DECT range as the original, and it costs a fraction of replacing the whole system.
Skip it if
Skip it if you do not already own an Engage SE base or dongle — on its own this headset cannot make a call. Skip it if your system is an Engage 75 SE or an older non-SE Engage, and skip it if your staff use the stereo or convertible wearing style, where 14401-46 and 14401-51 are the matching spares.
Also consider
14401-46 for the stereo spare, 14401-51 for the convertible spare, or the Jabra Engage 65 SE replacement base 14217-03 if the base station is the part that failed.
