Jabra Evolve2 40 SE — UC Stereo USB-C/A

UC StereoUSB-C / USB-A40 mm speakersBusylight

The Jabra Evolve2 40 SE (24189-989-799) is the USB-C/A UC Stereo version of Jabra's professional wired headset. It combines 40 mm stereo speakers, a MEMS microphone system, passive noise isolation, integrated call controls and a visible busylight in a binaural on-ear design for office and hybrid-work communication.

Compatibility — check before buying:
This exact part number is the UC Stereo USB-C/A variant. It connects by USB-C and is supplied with USB-A compatibility through the included adapter. It is not the Microsoft Teams-specific version; Jabra lists separate MS Stereo SKUs for that configuration.

Best For

✓ Unified Communications calls and meetings
✓ Office and hybrid-work environments
✓ Stereo calls and multimedia
✓ USB-C and USB-A computer fleets

Key Features

Current USB-C/A UC Stereo variant
Jabra identifies 24189-989-799 as the Evolve2 40 SE USB-C/A UC Stereo model. The USB-C/A generation replaces older separate USB-C and USB-A SKUs, simplifying deployment across mixed computer environments.

40 mm stereo speakers
The 40 mm speakers provide a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range for music and a dedicated 100 Hz to 14 kHz speak-mode bandwidth for voice communication.

Passive noise isolation
The on-ear stereo design and ear cushions provide passive isolation from surrounding noise. Jabra does not specify active noise cancellation for the Evolve2 40 SE.

Integrated busylight and call controls
Built-in call controls support everyday communication tasks, while the headset's busylight provides a visible indication when the user is occupied or receiving a call.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is 24189-989-799 the UC or Microsoft Teams version?
It is the UC Stereo version. Jabra lists 24189-999-799 as the corresponding Microsoft Teams Stereo USB-C/A variant.
Is it stereo or mono?
It is stereo with two earcups. The UC Mono USB-C/A version uses a different part number.
Can I use it with USB-A and USB-C computers?
Yes. This USB-C/A package provides USB-C connectivity and includes the adapter required for compatible USB-A computers.
Does it have active noise cancellation?
No. Jabra specifies passive noise isolation for the Evolve2 40 SE rather than active noise cancellation.
Singular Expert Insight
The most important identifier here is the full part number. 24189-989-799 is the UC Stereo USB-C/A model, while the visually similar 24189-999-799 is the Microsoft Teams Stereo version. Jabra introduced these C/A SKUs to replace separate USB-C and USB-A variants, so this package is especially useful for businesses with a mixture of newer and older computer ports.

Buyer’s Guide

Buy it if

You need a professional UC stereo headset with wired USB connectivity, 40 mm speakers, passive noise isolation and support for both USB-C and USB-A computers.

Skip it if

You specifically need the Microsoft Teams version, wireless connectivity or active noise cancellation. Those requirements call for a different SKU or model.

Good to know

The USB-C/A revision is Jabra's current replacement for older separate USB-C and USB-A SKUs, reducing the risk of ordering the wrong connector variant.
