Jabra Evolve2 50 MS Stereo — Wired USB-C Headset with ANC and Bluetooth

Active noise cancellationFour microphonesBusylight and Teams notificationsBluetooth to a second device

The Jabra Evolve2 50 plugs into your computer over USB and stays powered by it, and while it is connected it can also hold a Bluetooth link to your phone — so one headset covers both without you swapping anything. It has real active noise cancellation, four microphones split between analogue and digital MEMS, and a busylight that turns red when you are on a call. Part number 25089-999-799 is the MS Stereo article with a USB-C connector and a USB-A adapter.

Compatibility — check before buying:
The last three digits of a Jabra order code are the connector and they are easy to get wrong: 799 is USB-C with a USB-A adapter, 899 is USB-C only with no adapter, and 999 is USB-A only. This article, 799, covers both port types. Read the wiring correctly too: the Evolve2 50 is a corded headset for the computer, with Bluetooth as a second link to a phone, not a cordless headset — Jabra publishes no Link 380 dongle in this box and no talk-time figure. This is also the MS article, tuned and certified for Microsoft Teams call control; the UC article, 25089-989-799, is the same hardware for other platforms.

Best For

✓ Desk work with a computer and a phone side by side
✓ Open-plan offices where ANC matters
✓ Microsoft Teams call centres and support desks
✓ All-day use with no battery to manage
✓ Teams that want a visible busylight
✓ Rollouts across a mix of USB-C and USB-A machines

Key Features

Active noise cancellation on a corded headset
ANC on a USB headset is unusual and it is the reason to choose this over a plain wired model: the office quietens for you, not only for the person you are calling.

Four microphones, two kinds
Two analogue MEMS and two digital MEMS microphones work together on the call. Jabra publishes analogue response from 20 Hz to 10 kHz and digital from 100 Hz to 6.3 kHz.

Wired to the PC, Bluetooth to the phone
Bluetooth 5.2 with up to 30 metres of range runs alongside the USB connection, so a mobile call reaches the same headset without unplugging anything.

A busylight that also shows Teams
The LEDs cover busylight, incoming call and Microsoft Teams notifications on this MS article, on a 1.7 metre USB cable and a 148.9 gram headset.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this wireless?
Not to the computer. The Evolve2 50 connects to the PC by cable and is powered by it; Bluetooth 5.2 is there so a phone can use the same headset at the same time. Jabra publishes no Link 380 dongle in this box and no talk-time figure, because the computer link is the cable.
What do the last three digits mean?
They are the connector. 799 is USB-C with a USB-A adapter in the box, 899 is USB-C with no adapter, and 999 is USB-A only. This article is 799, so it fits either kind of port.
Is the MS version different from the UC version?
The hardware is the same. MS articles are certified for Microsoft Teams and carry Teams call-control and notification behaviour; UC articles suit Zoom, Meet and other platforms. The UC equivalent is 25089-989-799.
Does the active noise cancellation actually quieten the room?
Yes — this is listener-side ANC, not just microphone noise reduction. It is one of the few wired office headsets that offers it, which is the main reason to choose it over a simpler USB model.
Singular Expert Insight
Corded headsets are usually the compromise choice: reliable, always charged, and short on features. The Evolve2 50 is the exception — it brings active noise cancellation and a busylight to a cable, and it keeps a Bluetooth link free for your mobile while it is plugged in. The only thing to be careful about is the order code, because Jabra sells the same headset in six or more connector and certification permutations that look almost identical on a picking list. Quote the full code. Compare the range in Office & VoIP Headsets, or see Headphones for lighter-duty options.

Buyer’s Guide

Buy it if

You want ANC without a battery to charge. You need one headset for a computer and a mobile at the same time. Your organisation runs Microsoft Teams and wants the certified article.

Skip it if

You need to walk away from the desk during calls — the Evolve2 55 or 65 is the cordless equivalent. Your fleet is Zoom-first, in which case the UC article suits you better. You need a desk-phone connection.

Also consider

Jabra Evolve2 55 (25599-999-999) for the cordless version with a Link 380a adapter. Jabra Evolve2 50 UC (25089-989-799) if Teams certification is not required. Dell Pro Plus WH5024 for a wired ANC headset with 40 mm drivers.
