Jabra Evolve2 55 — Microsoft Teams Mono, USB-A Link 390, Wireless ANC Headset
Active Noise CancellationUp to 16 h talk time360° busylightUSB-A Link 390 adapter
The Jabra Evolve2 55 is a wireless single-ear (mono) on-ear headset for people who work in noisy rooms and move between a laptop and a phone, and part number 25599-899-999 is the Microsoft Teams variant supplied with the Jabra Link 390a (USB-A) Bluetooth adapter. It combines active noise cancellation on 28 mm speakers with a three-microphone array on a flip-to-mute boom arm, up to 16 hours of talk time and a 360-degree busylight. At 79 g it sits lightly enough to forget, and the adapter gives the computer a dedicated, certified link rather than relying on whatever Bluetooth the laptop happens to have.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This code is supplied with the Jabra Link 390a (USB-A) adapter and no charging stand — the foldable stand is an optional accessory that Jabra sells separately, and the stand versions of this headset are different order codes. The adapter is USB-A. On a USB-C-only laptop it needs a hub or an adapter you supply, and passing the dongle through a cheap hub is the usual cause of calls dropping. The USB-C version of this code is 25599-899-899. It is also the MS build, certified for Microsoft Teams; an office standardised on Zoom or Google Meet should order the UC code. Tell us which softphone you run and which ports your machines have, and we will match the code for you.
Best For
✓ Open-plan offices and hot desks where calls compete with the room
✓ Microsoft Teams users who want certified call control, not generic Bluetooth
✓ People who switch between a laptop and a mobile during the day
✓ Agents who want one ear open to the room
✓ Hybrid staff who carry the headset between office and home
✓ Anyone who wants ANC without stepping up to an over-ear model
Key Features
Active noise cancellation on a compact on-ear
A dedicated control switches ANC on and off, driven by the digital microphones. Turning it off buys you the longest battery figures; leaving it on buys you the quiet. Both are published, so you can plan a shift around either.
A three-microphone array and a flip-to-mute boom
The boom carries 1 analog MEMS + 2 digital MEMS. Lift it to mute and drop it to answer — the most reliable mute there is, because you can see it. Jabra publishes the analog element at 20 Hz to 10 kHz and the digital elements at 100 Hz to 6,300 Hz.
A certified link, not a generic pairing
The Jabra Link 390a (USB-A) adapter in the box is what makes the connection a certified Teams link rather than whatever radio is inside the laptop. It also frees the headset to hold a second device at the same time, up to two connected and eight paired.
Battery figures you can actually plan around
Up to 16 hours of talk with ANC and busylight off, or 10 hours with both on; 18 and 15 hours for music. A full charge takes up to two hours, and 30 minutes on the cable gives roughly half a battery.

Singular Expert Insight
The Evolve2 55 range is decoded by two triplets: the first sets mono or stereo and MS or UC, the second sets which Link adapter is in the box and whether a charging stand comes with it. This code is the USB-A adapter without the stand, which is the single most common source of disappointment on delivery — people assume a wireless headset arrives with a dock. One more point worth knowing: Jabra changed the bundled adapter from Link 380 to Link 390 mid-life without changing the part numbers, so older reviews and older spec sheets name the 380. Current stock is the 390. If you are deciding between this and the wired Evolve2 50, the honest question is whether anyone actually walks away from the desk mid-call. Browse the rest of our office and VoIP headsets, or the headphones range if music matters as much as calls.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You run Microsoft Teams, you work in a room you cannot quiet down, and you want ANC plus a certified USB-A link rather than laptop Bluetooth. 79 g on the head, up to 16 hours of talk and a busylight that keeps people off your desk.
Skip it if
You expected a charging stand — this code has none. Skip it too if your platform is Zoom or Google Meet, where the UC code fits better, or if your machines have no USB-A port free for the adapter.
Also consider
The USB-C version 25599-899-899 if your laptops have no USB-A port to spare, or the stereo version 25599-999-899 when both ears should be covered. The wired Evolve2 50 if nobody leaves the desk.
