Jabra BIZ 2300 Duo USB MS — Wired Contact Centre Headset with Noise-Cancelling Microphone
Built for contact centresNoise-cancelling boom microphone2.35 m cableCertified for Microsoft Teams
The Jabra BIZ 2300 is a contact centre headset rather than an office accessory, and part number 2399-823-109 is the Duo version with a fixed USB-A cable in the MS build for Microsoft Teams. Both ears are covered, the boom carries a uni-directional noise-cancelling microphone tuned from 101 Hz to 10 kHz, and the whole thing weighs 115 g without the cord. The cable is 2.35 m — long enough to reach a tower under the desk and still let you stand up. Controls for volume, mute, answering and holding sit on the cable where an agent can find them without looking.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This is a fixed USB-A headset. It is not a quick-disconnect model, so it cannot be moved onto a desk phone with a Jabra QD cord, and it will not plug into a USB-C-only laptop without an adapter you supply — the USB-C version of this code is 2399-823-189. It is the MS build for Microsoft Teams; the UC version is 2399-829-109. And it is the Duo: 2393-823-109 is the same headset with one ear cup, at 90 g. Note also that the BIZ 2300 has no active noise cancellation — the noise cancelling is on the microphone, for the caller’s benefit. Tell us your platform and your ports and we will confirm the article.
Best For
✓ Contact centres and help desks where the headset is worn every shift
✓ Microsoft Teams environments that want a certified wired device
✓ Desks that need a long cable and no charging routine
✓ Environments where a simple, repairable headset beats a featured one
✓ Teams standardising one model across many agents
✓ Sites replacing older Jabra BIZ headsets like for like
Key Features
A microphone built for a noisy floor
A uni-directional noise-cancelling element covering 101 Hz to 10,000 Hz, aimed at your mouth and rejecting the agent one metre away. In a contact centre that single specification matters more than anything else on the sheet.
Controls under your hand, not on the screen
Volume up and down, mute on and off, answer, end and reject, hold and resume — all on the cable. Agents work faster when call control is physical and does not mean finding a window on the desktop.
A cable long enough for a real desk
2.35 m of fixed USB-A cable reaches a tower on the floor or a dock at the back of the desk without an extension. Nothing to charge, nothing to pair and nothing to lose.
Speakers tuned for voice first
A 28 by 3.9 mm speaker covering 150 Hz to 6,800 Hz in voice mode and 70 Hz to 16,000 Hz for music. The priority is speech intelligibility over eight hours rather than bass, which is the right trade for this job.

Singular Expert Insight
The BIZ 2300 has been in contact centres for years, and the reason is not any single feature: it is a headset designed to be worn eight hours a day, repaired rather than replaced, and bought a hundred at a time. The part number carries three independent decisions, which is where ordering goes wrong: 2393 is mono and 2399 is duo, 823 is the Microsoft Teams build and 829 is UC, and the last triplet sets the connector — 109 for USB-A and 189 for USB-C. It is also worth being precise about the warranty, because Jabra is: the 3-year term people associate with the BIZ family belongs to the 2400 and 2400 II. The 2300 sits in the 2-year corded group. If your agents are moving off desk phones onto softphones, this is the straightforward replacement; if they want noise cancellation on their own ears, the Evolve2 50 is the step up. Browse the full office and VoIP headsets range, or the microphones section if the desk needs a separate mic instead.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You are equipping a contact centre on Microsoft Teams, you want both ears covered, a proper noise-cancelling boom and controls on the cable, and nothing that needs charging. 115 g, a 2.35 m USB-A cable and a headset built to be worn every day.
Skip it if
Your agents work from desk phones or need to move between phone and PC — this is fixed USB with no quick disconnect. Skip it too if your laptops are USB-C only, where 2399-823-189 is the right article, or if you need active noise cancellation.
Also consider
The USB-C version 2399-823-189 for newer machines, the Mono version 2393-823-109 if one ear should stay open to the floor, or the Jabra Evolve2 50 if agents need active noise cancellation as well.
