Kensington EQ Adjustable Aluminium Laptop Stand
10–17" devicesUp to 3 kg5 height settingsFolds flat
The Kensington EQ Adjustable Aluminium Laptop Stand (K50428WW) is a foldable aluminium riser for laptops and tablets from 10 to 17 inches weighing up to 3 kg, with five preset height and angle combinations that lift the screen up to 252 mm off the desk.
It is designed for people who work directly on a laptop for long periods: raising the screen brings it closer to eye level, which reduces neck bending, and the open frame lets air circulate under the device. Ultra-slim and 420 g, it folds flat and travels in the included cotton pouch, so the same ergonomic setup goes with you between home, office and hot desks.
Before you order: When the laptop is raised, typing on its own keyboard becomes uncomfortable. Plan to use an external keyboard and mouse with this stand.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Kensington EQ Adjustable Aluminium Laptop Stand (K50428WW)
- 1 × Protective cotton storage pouch
What It Means in Practice
- Five preset positions let you choose between a small tilt for typing and a high position (up to 252 mm) for video calls and reading.
- Good for sit-stand desks too: the higher settings keep the screen near eye level when working with a laptop only.
- Anti-slip silicone pads keep the laptop in place and protect the desk surface.
- Folds flat and weighs 420 g, so it fits into a laptop bag with the device.
What Will Not Work
- Laptops or tablets heavier than 3 kg or larger than 17" are outside the specification — large gaming or workstation laptops often exceed 3 kg.
- It is not a dock: it adds no ports, charging or display outputs.
- It does not hold a monitor; for external screens use a monitor arm or monitor stand.
- Height is set by the five presets; it is not continuously adjustable.

Frequently Asked Questions
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
A laptop stand is the cheapest way to fix laptop posture: raise the screen, add a keyboard and mouse, and the neck stays neutral. The EQ stand is light enough to carry daily and goes higher than most risers. If you connect your laptop to screens and peripherals at the desk, combine it with one of our docking stations.
✓ Buy it if you work on a 10–17" laptop or tablet up to 3 kg and want a portable, height-adjustable riser.
✕ Skip it if your laptop weighs over 3 kg or you need a stand for an external monitor.
→ Also consider A Kensington SmartFit monitor arm if you mainly work on external screens.
