The Kensington SmartFit One-Touch Height-Adjustable Single Monitor Arm (K55470EU) is a gas-spring desk mount in grey that holds one flat or curved monitor from 13 to 34 inches weighing up to 9 kg , and lets you move the screen up, down, forward, back and into portrait with one hand.
It clamps to the desk edge or mounts through a grommet hole, frees the desk surface under the screen, and uses Kensington SmartFit colour-coded fitting guidance to help you set the screen at eye level. Tension is adjustable so the arm holds lighter and heavier monitors steadily in every position, and cables run inside the arm.
Before you order: Your monitor must have VESA 75×75 or 100×100 mounting holes on the back and weigh no more than 9 kg. Check the desk thickness: 10–85 mm for the clamp, 10–80 mm for the grommet mount.

What It Means in Practice
- Gas spring movement: push the screen up or down and it stays where you leave it, from 170 mm to 505 mm height.
- ±90° tilt, ±90° swivel/rotation for landscape or portrait, plus ±180° upper and ±135° lower arm swivel for reach and depth.
- Non-permanent installation that does not mark the desk and comes off easily when you move offices.
- Integrated cable management keeps power and video cables inside the arm and off the desk.
What Will Not Work
- Monitors without VESA 75 or 100 mounting holes (many slim consumer screens and some curved models) need a separate VESA adapter, or will not fit at all.
- Screens heavier than 9 kg or larger than 34" are outside the specification — check weight without the stand, not with it.
- Desks thicker than 85 mm (clamp) or 80 mm (grommet), or glass desks, are not suitable mounting surfaces.
- It holds one screen; for two monitors choose the dual-arm version.
