Kensington Orbit Trackball with Scroll Ring K72337EU
Scroll RingOptical tracking2 customizable buttonsWired USB
The Kensington Orbit Trackball with Scroll Ring K72337EU combines precise optical tracking with a stationary, space-saving design. Its finger-operated trackball and dedicated Scroll Ring let you navigate documents and web pages without moving the entire device across the desk, while the symmetrical shape supports both left- and right-handed users.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This model uses a wired USB-A connection. Computers equipped only with USB-C require a suitable USB-C to USB-A adapter. Kensington lists support for Windows, macOS and ChromeOS, although software customization availability can vary by operating system.
Best For
✓ Office and productivity work
✓ Small or crowded desks
✓ Left- and right-handed users
✓ Long documents and web pages
✓ Users who prefer a stationary pointer
✓ Wired desktop setups
Key Features
Dedicated Scroll Ring
The ring surrounding the trackball provides click-free vertical scrolling through web pages, spreadsheets and long documents without requiring a conventional mouse wheel.
Optical trackball control
Optical sensing translates movement of the finger-operated ball into cursor movement while the trackball housing remains stationary on the desk.
Two customizable buttons
Two large buttons provide primary control and can be assigned supported functions through Kensington's customization software on compatible operating systems.
Detachable wrist rest
The supplied removable wrist rest extends the front of the trackball and provides additional support for users who prefer a larger resting surface during prolonged desktop use.

Singular Expert Insight
The important distinction between this Orbit and simpler trackballs is the Scroll Ring. You can move the pointer with the ball and scroll using the ring while the entire device stays fixed in one place, which is useful on compact desks and for workflows involving long documents. K72337EU also includes the detachable wrist rest and two programmable buttons. It is a wired USB-A model, so buyers looking specifically for wireless operation should choose a different Orbit variant.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want a stationary wired trackball with convenient ring scrolling, ambidextrous operation and a removable wrist rest for everyday desktop work.
Skip it if
You need Bluetooth or 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity, a compact travel device, or a larger number of dedicated hardware buttons.
Check first
Confirm that your computer has USB-A connectivity or that you have a suitable USB-C adapter, particularly with newer thin-and-light laptops.
