Kensington Slim N17 2.0 Dual Head — lock a Wedge-slot laptop and a second device with one key
Wedge slotDual headOne key5-year warranty
The Kensington Slim N17 2.0 Keyed Dual Head Laptop Lock for Wedge-Shaped Slots (K60508WW) secures a laptop with a Wedge-shaped security slot plus a second device with a Standard T-bar slot, such as a monitor or docking station, to the same anchor and opens both with one key, made for desks where laptop and peripheral should stay put together.
The Slim N17 2.0 head is designed for the wedge-shaped slot found on many thin Dell laptops, and Kensington states the lock is tested and approved by Dell. The second MS2.0 head fits the Standard security slot used on monitors, docks and older laptops. Both heads are zinc die-cast and the cable is 5.0 mm carbon steel with a plastic sheath.
Before you order: The main head fits Wedge-shaped slots only, and the second head fits Standard T-bar slots only. Neither head fits a Nano slot. Check the slots on both devices before ordering, or send us the models.
What's in the Box
- 1 x Slim N17 2.0 lock head (Wedge slot) and 1 x MS2.0 lock head (Standard slot) on a dual carbon-steel cable
- 2 x user keys
- Instruction guide
- Warranty card
What It Means in Practice
- Lock a Dell laptop and its monitor or dock with one cable and one key at a hot desk or reception.
- The slim N17 head suits very thin laptops where a bulky lock head would block nearby ports.
- Register the keys with Kensington Register and Retrieve for free replacement if lost.
- One key for two devices means fewer keys to manage per desk.
What Will Not Work
- Laptops with a Nano security slot — neither head fits Nano.
- A Standard-slot laptop as the main device — the N17 head is for Wedge-shaped slots; use the Standard head for the second device.
- Devices with no security slot at all.
- Master keying — this lock is opened only with its own user keys.

Frequently Asked Questions
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Dual-head locks are the tidy answer for hot desks where both the laptop and the expensive peripheral should stay. If the second device is a docking station, check that it has a Standard security slot.
✓ Buy it if your laptop has a Wedge-shaped slot and you want to lock it together with a monitor or dock using one key.
✕ Skip it if your laptop has a Nano or Standard slot as its only slot type.
→ Also consider the Kensington ClickSafe 2.0 3-in-1 lock if your fleet mixes Standard, Nano and Wedge slots.
Not sure which slots your devices have? Send us the models and we will confirm the right lock before you order.
