The KeySonic ACK-540U+ (28002) puts a keyboard and a touchpad into one 291 mm body, which is exactly what you want on a rack shelf, a control desk, a lectern or a trolley where there is no room — and no clean surface — for a mouse. The touchpad is a 65 × 46 mm Smart-Touchpad with two-finger scroll and three-finger right-click, sitting to the right of a full 106-key layout. The keys are X-Type with a matt SoftSkin coating that feels warmer than bare plastic and does not shine up, and they are rated at about 5 million keystrokes with silent key switches. Three status LEDs cover Num, Caps and Scroll Lock. It weighs 665 g on a 1.9 m USB cable and needs no drivers. In the box: keyboard and documentation.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Plug and play over USB Type-A with a 1.9 m cable, powered from the port. Both the keyboard and the touchpad follow standard HID, so they also work on macOS and Linux, although KeySonic lists Windows. There is no backlight and no wireless version of this article number. This is a compact 106-key board — the number keys are integrated into the layout rather than sitting in a separate numeric block, so if you do heavy data entry check the layout suits you before ordering. It is a normal office-grade keyboard, not a sealed or IP-rated one: for a washable keyboard for a wet or dusty area, ask us about the KeySonic industrial IP68 range instead. Layout: German QWERTZ swaps Y and Z, puts Ü, Ö, Ä and ß on dedicated keys and moves most symbols and brackets compared with a US or UK keyboard. Choose it only if you type in German; for English use in Cyprus ask us for the US or UK version of the same model.
