Kingston ValueRAM 32GB DDR5-6400 Clocked SODIMM
32GB DDR5-6400CL52 · 1.1VCSODIMM with CKDSingle rank 1Rx8
The Kingston ValueRAM KVR64V52BS8-32 is a 32GB DDR5-6400 laptop memory module in the new clocked SODIMM (CSODIMM) format, running JEDEC 52-52-52 timings at 1.1V. It is aimed at notebooks built for clocked memory, where the on-module clock driver lets DDR5 run at 6400MT/s reliably. It is a single module, single rank (1Rx8), and uses standard JEDEC settings with no XMP or EXPO profile to configure.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This is a clocked SODIMM, not a regular DDR5 SODIMM. Kingston states that CUDIMMs and CSODIMMs are first supported on Intel “Arrow Lake” processors with the 800-series chipset, and that legacy chipsets and AMD platforms do not support the clock driver and may not work or may run at significantly reduced speed. It physically fits a DDR5 SODIMM slot, but check that your laptop supports clocked SODIMMs first. It does not fit DDR4 laptops or desktop DIMM slots. Tell us your laptop model and we check it for you before you order.
Best For
✓ Laptops that list support for DDR5 clocked SODIMMs (CSODIMM)
✓ Upgrading to 32GB in a single slot
✓ Keeping a free slot for a second 32GB module later
✓ Replacing a failed DDR5 CSODIMM like-for-like
✓ IT departments standardising on JEDEC ValueRAM
✓ Users who want stock JEDEC timings with no tuning
Key Features
On-module clock driver
Each module carries a Clock Driver (CKD) that regenerates the memory clock on the module itself. That is what makes 6400MT/s practical on a laptop SODIMM, and it is also why the host platform must support clocked modules.
32GB in one module
Eight 16Gbit DRAM chips in a single-rank 1Rx8 layout give 32GB on one stick. In a two-slot laptop, you can reach 64GB by adding a second identical module.
JEDEC standard, 1.1V
Runs DDR5-6400 at CL52-52-52 and 1.1V as defined by JEDEC. Nothing to enable in the BIOS: the laptop reads the settings from the module and runs it.
On-die ECC
Like all DDR5, the DRAM chips have on-die ECC internally. The module itself is non-ECC, so it is for client laptops, not for workstations that need ECC memory.

Singular Expert Insight
This is Kingston’s single-rank 32GB clocked SODIMM. Do not confuse it with the KVR64V52BD8-32: same 32GB and speed, but dual rank (2Rx8) — if you are matching an existing module, match the rank too. The KVR64A52BS8-32 is the desktop version (288-pin clocked UDIMM) and will not fit a laptop, and the KVR64V52BS8-16 is the 16GB single-rank version. Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
Your laptop lists DDR5 CSODIMM / clocked SODIMM support and you want 32GB per slot at 6400MT/s.
Skip it if
Your laptop is DDR4, uses soldered memory only, or its platform does not support clocked modules (Kingston flags legacy chipsets and AMD).
Also consider
KVR64V52BS8-16 for 16GB; KVR64V52BD8-32 if you must match a dual-rank module; a standard DDR5 SODIMM for laptops without clocked-memory support.
