Kingston Canvas Select Plus SDCS3/1TBSP — 1TB microSDXC, U3 V30 A1
1TB microSDXC, UHS-IU3 · V30 · A1Up to 150 MB/s readCard only — no SD adapter
The Kingston Canvas Select Plus SDCS3/1TBSP is a 1TB microSDXC card rated UHS-I, Class 10, U3, V30 and A1, with read speeds of up to 150 MB/s. The SP suffix matters: this is the single-pack version, which means the card on its own with no SD adapter in the box — the version that includes an adapter is SDCS3/1TB without the suffix. At 1TB this card sits in the upper tier of the Canvas Select Plus range: the 512GB and 1TB capacities carry the U3 and V30 ratings, while the 64GB to 256GB cards are only U1 and V10. Kingston rates it IPX7 waterproof to IEC/EN 60529, temperature proof from -25°C to 85°C and X-ray proof to ISO7816-1 guidelines, and covers it with a lifetime warranty. Kingston positions it for Android devices and point-and-shoot cameras. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Three things to be clear about. First, no SD adapter is included — the SP suffix means single pack, card only. If your device has a full-size SD slot rather than microSD, you need the SDCS3/1TB version or your own adapter. Second, the 150 MB/s read figure exceeds the UHS-I bus limit of 104 MB/s: Kingston achieves it with proprietary technology and states that full performance requires its MobileLite Plus reader. In a normal phone, laptop slot or camera you should expect UHS-I speeds. Third, Kingston publishes no write speed at all for this generation and notes only that write speed may be lower for some capacities — the 85 MB/s write figure you may see quoted belongs to the previous SDCS2 generation and does not apply here. Note also that this is an A1 card, not A2, and that Kingston makes no 4K video claim for the line.
Best For
✓ Expanding storage on an Android phone or tablet
✓ Point-and-shoot cameras that take microSD
✓ Storing a large photo and video library on one card
✓ Nintendo Switch and handheld console storage
✓ Anyone who already owns an SD adapter and does not need another
✓ Buyers who want a lifetime warranty on a memory card
Key Features
1TB in the top speed tier of the range
The 512GB and 1TB Canvas Select Plus cards are rated U3 and V30, meaning a 30 MB/s sustained minimum write speed. The 64GB to 256GB cards in the same family are only U1 and V10, so the capacity you choose changes the class you get.
Up to 150 MB/s read
Kingston rates the 1TB card at up to 150 MB/s read. Because that is above the 104 MB/s ceiling of the UHS-I bus, Kingston states that full performance requires its MobileLite Plus reader — in an ordinary host you will see standard UHS-I speeds.
A1 for app performance on Android
The A1 application performance class means the card meets a minimum random read and write rate for running apps directly from it, which is what makes it usable as expanded storage on an Android device rather than only as a media store. Kingston does not rate this line A2.
Built to survive what phones and cameras go through
IPX7 waterproof to IEC/EN 60529 — tested for submersion up to 30 minutes at a depth of 1 metre. Temperature proof from -25°C to 85°C in operation, and X-ray proof based on ISO7816-1 guidelines, so airport scanners are not a risk.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it come with an SD adapter?
No. The SP at the end of the part number means single pack — the card on its own. Kingston lists SDCS3/1TB as the part number that includes an SD adapter and SDCS3/1TBSP as the one that does not. If a listing for the SP part claims an adapter is included, it is repeating a distributor error.
Will I actually get 150 MB/s?
Only with the right reader. 150 MB/s is above the 104 MB/s maximum of the UHS-I bus, and Kingston reaches it with proprietary technology, stating that full performance requires its MobileLite Plus reader. In a phone, a laptop card slot or a camera you should expect normal UHS-I speeds. That is not a fault — it is how every card advertising above 104 MB/s on UHS-I works.
Is it fast enough for 4K video?
Its V30 rating means a guaranteed 30 MB/s sustained write, which is the class normally cited as sufficient for 4K recording. That said, Kingston itself makes no 4K claim for this line and positions it for Android devices and point-and-shoot cameras rather than action cameras or drones. If you are recording high-bitrate 4K or above on a professional camera, a V60 or V90 card is the safer choice.
How does it differ from the older SDCS2 card?
SDCS3 is the newer generation with the same product name. It adds the 1TB capacity and raises read speed to 150 MB/s from 128GB upwards. One thing to watch: the 256GB card was U3 and V30 in the SDCS2 generation but is only U1 and V10 in SDCS3, so the ratings did not simply improve across the board. At 1TB you get U3 and V30 either way.
Singular Expert Insight
Two details decide whether this card is right for you. The first is capacity-dependent ratings: at 1TB you get U3 and V30, which is the useful tier, while the 128GB and 256GB cards in the same family are only U1 and V10 — so do not judge this card by a review of its smaller siblings. The second is the read speed. 150 MB/s is real but requires Kingston’s own reader to reach, because it is above what the UHS-I bus can carry; in your phone it will behave like a good UHS-I card. What you are genuinely buying is a large, durable, A1-rated card with a lifetime warranty, aimed at Android storage and everyday cameras. If you shoot high-bitrate video professionally, look at a V60 or V90 card instead. Browse our

Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You need 1TB of microSD storage for an Android phone, a handheld console or a compact camera, and you want U3, V30 and A1 ratings with IPX7 durability and a lifetime warranty — and you do not need an SD adapter.
Skip it if
You need a full-size SD adapter in the box (choose SDCS3/1TB instead), an A2-rated card, a published write speed, or a V60/V90 card for high-bitrate professional video. Kingston publishes none of those here.
Also consider
SDCS3/1TB if you want the same card with an SD adapter included, the 512GB SDCS3/512GBSP which shares the U3 and V30 ratings, or a Kingston Industrial or High Endurance microSD if the card will run continuously in a dashcam or security camera.
