Kingston FURY Renegade RGB 48GB Kit (2x24GB) DDR5-8400 Desktop CUDIMM

48GB Kit (2x24GB)DDR5-8400 CL401.45VRGB

The Kingston FURY Renegade RGB KF584CU40RWAK2-48 is a 48GB Kit (2x24GB) 288-pin clocked unbuffered DDR5 desktop DIMM (CUDIMM) rated at 8400 MT/s with CL40 latency at 1.45V, for enthusiasts on the newest Intel desktop platform who want the highest memory speeds.

It comes as 2 matched modules of 24GB, giving 48GB in total and up to 67.2 GB/s of peak bandwidth per module (PC5-67200). A CUDIMM carries its own Client Clock Driver (CKD) that regenerates the clock signal on the module, which is what makes speeds above 8000 MT/s stable on platforms built for it.

Typical uses: a high-end Intel Core Ultra 200S gaming or creator build where memory bandwidth is part of the goal, and enthusiasts who tune memory and want headroom beyond standard DDR5 UDIMM speeds.

Before you order: CUDIMM needs a motherboard and CPU that support it — Kingston positions this kit for Intel 800-series (Z890) boards with Intel Core Ultra 200S (Series 2) processors. Check your board’s QVL before ordering; on other platforms it is not a guaranteed fit and will not reach 8400 MT/s.

What's in the Box

  • 2 × 24GB DDR5 CUDIMM modules (48GB matched kit, tested together)
  • Manufacturer packaging — memory installs tool-free into the slot, no cables or drivers needed (RGB control software is a free download from the manufacturer)

What It Means in Practice

  • Out of the box it boots at 6400 MT/s CL52 at 1.1V. Enabling XMP in BIOS is a one-click setting that loads the rated 8400 MT/s CL40 profile — the final speed depends on your CPU’s memory controller and motherboard.
  • Two modules fill both channels of a dual-channel platform — install them in the slots your motherboard manual marks for two-DIMM operation (usually A2/B2).
  • 48GB suits heavy content creation, large projects, virtual machines and professional applications that cache aggressively.
  • Height matters with large tower air coolers: at 45 mm check the clearance under your cooler’s front fan.
  • Installation takes a few minutes: power off and unplug the PC, open the side panel, release the slot latches and press each module straight down until the latches click shut on both ends.
  • After installation, Windows Task Manager (Performance → Memory) shows the total capacity, the speed in MT/s and how many slots are used — a quick way to confirm everything is detected.

What Will Not Work

  • Intel 600/700-series and AMD AM5 boards are not CUDIMM-validated by Kingston for this kit — they may not boot it in CKD mode or reach the rated speed
  • DDR4 or DDR3 motherboards, laptops (SO-DIMM) and servers (RDIMM)
  • Mixing with standard UDIMM modules in the same system
  • Combining two kits for more modules — memory makers test kits as a set and do not guarantee the rated speed with mixed kits

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I check that it fits my PC?
Look up the motherboard model’s memory support: it must list DDR5 DIMM, a maximum capacity of at least 48GB. Send us the model and we check it for you.
Why does Windows show a lower speed after installation?
Because the XMP profile is not enabled yet. Enter BIOS, select the profile and save — the memory then runs at its rated 8400 MT/s if the CPU and board support it.
Is on-die ECC the same as ECC memory?
No. On-die ECC corrects errors inside the DRAM chips themselves and is part of every DDR5 module; system-level ECC (ECC UDIMM/RDIMM) also protects data on its way to the CPU and needs a platform that supports it.
What does the warranty cover?
Lifetime warranty per Kingston (subject to local definitions). Singular adds its own 1-year warranty and handles any claim for you — bring or send us the module and we take care of the manufacturer process.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
CUDIMM is the newest step in desktop DDR5 and only pays off on a platform built for it; on the right Intel Z890 build it is one of the fastest memory options available. Browse our full memory (RAM) range for other capacities and speeds.
✓ Buy it if you run an Intel Z890 / Core Ultra 200S system and want 8400 MT/s-class memory.
✕ Skip it if your board is not CUDIMM-capable — a standard DDR5 UDIMM kit is the safer choice.
→ Also consider a standard DDR5-6400 UDIMM kit for platforms without CUDIMM support.
Not sure it fits? Send us the model of your motherboard or PC and we will check memory compatibility before you order.
