Kingston KC600 1TB mSATA SSD
1TBmSATA SATA IIIUp to 550MB/sAES-256 SED
The Kingston KC600 1TB, part number SKC600MS/1024G, is a high-performance mSATA internal SSD on the SATA III 6Gb/s interface, built to deliver fast, secure storage in space-restricted systems such as ultrabooks, mini-PCs, thin clients and embedded devices. It pairs durable 3D TLC NAND with full AES 256-bit hardware encryption, making it a standout choice where both speed and data security matter.
With sequential reads up to 550MB/s and writes up to 520MB/s, the KC600 mSATA saturates the SATA III interface for a dramatic boost over any hard drive. Carrying EAN 0740617316032 and MPN SKC600MS/1024G, this 1TB model supports TCG Opal 2.0 and IEEE-1667 (eDrive), is rated for 600 TBW and is backed by a limited 5-year warranty with free technical support. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility note
This is an mSATA drive (50.8 x 29.85mm), not an M.2 or 2.5-inch SSD — the connectors look similar but are not interchangeable. Confirm your laptop or board has a dedicated full-size mSATA slot before ordering. It will not fit M.2 (NGFF) or standard 2.5-inch SATA bays.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is mSATA the same as M.2?
No. mSATA and M.2 look similar but are different, non-interchangeable standards. The KC600 mSATA is a full-size mSATA module (50.8 x 29.85mm) — make sure your device has a dedicated mSATA slot, not M.2 or 2.5-inch SATA.
What does the hardware encryption do?
The KC600 supports full-drive AES 256-bit self-encryption with TCG Opal 2.0 and IEEE-1667 (eDrive). This secures your data at rest and works with security software and BitLocker eDrive, with no performance penalty — ideal for business and confidential use.
Will this speed up my old laptop?
Yes — if your laptop uses an mSATA drive, swapping to the KC600 delivers up to 550MB/s reads, dramatically faster than a mechanical hard drive, for quicker boots, app launches and file access, plus a roomy 1TB of space.
How reliable is it?
The KC600 mSATA is rated for 600 TBW and backed by a limited 5-year warranty with free Kingston technical support, comfortably covering years of typical office, business and embedded workloads.
Singular Expert Insight
The Kingston KC600 mSATA is one of the best mSATA SSDs still made, and at 1TB it is the top choice when you need a large, fast and secure drive for a system that only takes mSATA. Its standout feature is full AES-256 hardware encryption with TCG Opal and eDrive support, making it ideal for business laptops and confidential data — something budget mSATA drives lack. Combined with a 5-year warranty, it is the premium pick in this shrinking category. Just be certain your device truly has mSATA, not M.2. See our full
