The KIOXIA CD8-V 1.6TB (KCD8XVUG1T60) is a 2.5-inch, 15 mm U.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe enterprise SSD rated for 3 drive writes per day, built for mixed-use servers: databases, virtualisation, caching and logging.
The CD8-V is the mixed-use version of KIOXIA's CD8 PCIe 4.0 data-center family: same U.2 format, rated for 3 full drive writes per day.
Before you order: This is a U.2 (SFF-8639) NVMe drive: it needs a U.2/U.3-capable NVMe backplane or bay, or a U.2 cable/adapter to a PCIe slot. It does not fit M.2 slots and does not work on SATA/SAS controllers. OEM servers may need the vendor's drive carrier — tell us your server model before ordering.

What It Means in Practice
