The KMP 1588,0003 is a 70 ml bottle of cyan refill ink that replaces the Canon PFI-050C (5699C001) for the refillable ink tanks of the Canon imagePROGRAF TC-20 and TC-21 large-format printers. It is meant for architects, engineers, schools and print shops that run these compact 24-inch plotters for drawings, posters and CAD output.
It is a bottle, not a cartridge: the imagePROGRAF TC series is filled from bottles into built-in tanks, so you pour this ink into the cyan tank exactly as you would the Canon bottle.
Before you order: This bottle is only for the imagePROGRAF TC-20 / TC-21 tank system. It will not fill cartridge-based imagePROGRAF models such as the TM or TA series.

What It Means in Practice
- Open the cyan tank cover, remove the bottle cap and fill the cyan tank only; the tanks are colour-coded to prevent mix-ups.
- Fill when the tank level drops near the lower line rather than waiting until it is completely empty, to avoid air in the ink system.
- Close the bottle tightly if some ink remains and store it upright at room temperature.
- KMP does not publish a page yield for this bottle; usage on a large-format printer depends heavily on drawing size and coverage.
What Will Not Work
- Cartridge-based Canon imagePROGRAF printers (TM, TA, TX, PRO series): they use PFI cartridges, not bottles.
- Desktop Canon PIXMA or MAXIFY printers, including MegaTank models: different ink and bottle system.
- Filling any tank other than cyan: mixing colours contaminates the tank and printhead.
