KMP B-DR18 Drum Unit for Brother DR-3200
Replaces DR-320036-month KMP warrantyDrum onlyHL-5300 / MFC-8800 series
The KMP B-DR18 (KMP article 1255,7000) is a compatible drum unit that replaces the Brother DR-3200 in Brother's HL-5340D, HL-5350DN, HL-5370DW, HL-5380DN, DCP-8070D/8080DN/8085DN and MFC-8370DN/8380DN/8880DN/8890DW mono lasers. It keeps these durable office printers producing clean output at lower cost than a genuine drum.
The drum transfers toner to the paper and wears with use. Grey backgrounds, dots or marks repeating down the page with a good toner cartridge installed mean it is time to replace it.
Before you order: B-DR18 is the drum only and works with your existing toner cartridge, which clips into the new drum. Brother rates its own DR-3200 at approx. 25,000 pages; KMP does not publish a separate yield.
What's in the Box
- 1 × KMP B-DR18 drum unit (Singlepack)
- No toner cartridge included - transfer your current toner into the new drum
What It Means in Practice
- Move your toner cartridge into the new drum, refit the assembly and reset the drum counter as described in the Brother user guide.
- Brother's DR-3200 reference life is approx. 25,000 pages; short jobs and frequent warm-ups reduce real-world life.
- KMP lists a 36-month warranty for this article.
What Will Not Work
- Not for the later HL-L5000 / HL-L6000 / MFC-L5700 series (DR-3400 drum) or the compact HL-L2300 series (DR-2300).
- It contains no toner and will not fix faults caused by an empty or damaged toner cartridge.
- Not for Brother colour lasers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
HL-5340D/HL-5380DN and MFC-8880DN printers are still running in many offices, and a KMP drum is a sensible way to keep them going without genuine-drum prices. Check your model against the list - Brother's later L-series uses a different drum. More supplies are in our printer accessories range.
✓ Buy it if your printer is on the list above and print quality has dropped with a good toner.
✕ Skip it if you own an HL-L5000 / HL-L6000 series printer (DR-3400) or need genuine Brother supplies.
→ Also consider KMP B-DR28 for Brother DR-3400 printers.
Not sure it fits? Send us the exact model of your printer (it is printed on the front panel or on the rating label) and we will check compatibility before you order.
