The Lanberg AK-1012-S is a 10-inch, 1U fixed shelf, 254 mm wide and 180 mm deep, that carries up to 20 kg of equipment in a 10" wall cabinet. It is made for small installations — home offices, shops, CCTV points and branch comms boxes — where a router, ISP modem, small PoE switch or NVR has no rack ears of its own.
The shelf is a single metal tray with front mounting flanges: it bolts to the front 10" rails and the device simply sits on top. Lanberg designs it as a universal 1U shelf for its own 10" wall cabinets, and it fits any 10" rack with standard rail spacing and enough depth behind the front rails.
Because the shelf is only 180 mm deep, it is meant for compact desktop devices. Measure the footprint of what you want to place on it, including the cables at the back, before ordering.

What It Means in Practice
- Typical load: an ISP router plus a small switch, or a compact NVR — well under the 20 kg limit.
- Devices that stick out past 180 mm will overhang the back edge; check the depth of your device plus its cables.
- Leave space above the shelf for the device to breathe — routers and PoE switches run warm in closed wall boxes.
- Use a velcro strap or cable tie around the device if the cabinet will be moved or opened often.

- It does not fit 19" racks — for 19" cabinets choose a 19" shelf.
- It is not a sliding or telescopic shelf; it stays fixed in place.
- It is not rated for more than 20 kg — do not stack UPS units or heavy servers on it.
- It is not a cable manager — patch cords and power leads still need their own routing in the cabinet.

Will it fit a 19" cabinet?
No. It is a 10" shelf. For a 19" cabinet you need a 19" shelf.
Can I mount a device with rack ears on it?
You can place it on the shelf, but a device with its own 10" ears is better mounted directly to the rails, saving the shelf for devices without ears.
Does it come with screws?
Lanberg does not list mounting hardware in the box, so use the cage nuts and screws supplied with your 10" cabinet.
Is there a black version?
