The Lanberg KSF6-3000 is a feed-thru keystone connector: a shielded Cat.6 RJ45 socket on both sides in a metal keystone body. It snaps into a keystone patch panel, wall box or modular 10″/19″ panel like any keystone module, but instead of terminating installation cable it joins two patch cords — one plugged in from the front and one from the back. It is also a neat way to fill a keystone port with a working RJ45 pass-through, or to join two patch cords in line. Contacts are phosphor bronze, rated for more than 750 cycles, and it supports PoE.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This is a coupler, not a termination module — there is no LSA block and no toolless clamp, so you cannot connect installation cable to it. Both sides need patch cords with RJ45 plugs. The shield only carries through if both patch cords are shielded. If you need a jack that terminates cable, look at Lanberg’s KSF6-4000 toolless or KSF6-2000 LSA Cat.6 FTP modules instead.
