Lanberg PPS7-1024-S — 24-Port Cat.7 FTP Patch Panel, 19" 1U, Grey

24 portsCat.7 FTP19" · 1UCable organiser

The Lanberg PPS7-1024-S is a 24-port Cat.7 shielded 19-inch 1U patch panel in grey (RAL 7035). It mounts in a 19-inch rack or cabinet and takes up 1U. Installation cable is punched down on the back with an LSA (Krone) punch-down tool, and the 24 RJ45 sockets on the front take ordinary patch cords, rated for shielded Gigabit and 10G-class links, within the limits of RJ45. In practice it gives the cables coming from wall outlets and ceilings a fixed, labelled end point next to your switch, so that moves and changes are made with short patch cords at the panel instead of re-terminating installation cable. When the network grows, you add a panel and a few patch cords rather than pulling new cable to every desk, and a clearly numbered panel makes it quick to find which outlet a fault or a new device is on.

Compatibility — check before buying:
This is the grey model — the same panel in black is PPS7-1024-B; Lanberg’s Cat 6A shielded panel is PPSA-1024-S. The ports are fixed and terminated with an LSA (Krone) punch-down tool, which is not in the box. As a shielded panel it only gives its full screening with shielded cable and a grounded rack or earth point; Lanberg lists a grounding kit on the product card of this grey model. It needs a standard 19-inch rack or cabinet with 1U free. “Cat.7” on an RJ45 panel describes the shielded construction for Cat 7-type cable: the Cat 7 / Class F standard itself uses other connectors, and Lanberg publishes no frequency or class figure, so plan it as a shielded RJ45 panel and do not expect more than the RJ45 link can carry. Not sure it matches your cabling? Send us the cable type and the rack or cabinet model and we check it.

Best For

✓ 19-inch server and network racks
✓ Office floor distribution
✓ Structured cabling projects
✓ Patching wall outlets to switches
✓ Data centres and comms rooms
✓ Labelled, serviceable terminations

Key Features

IDC/LSA termination
Universal IDC/LSA connectors on the back are wired to T568A or T568B. Once the cable is terminated, every move is made with a patch cord at the front.

Shielded Cat.7 build
Sold by Lanberg as Cat.7 FTP; frequency and class not published. The shielded design helps in electrically noisy rooms and with PoE-heavy cable bundles.

19-inch, 1U
Standard 19-inch width at 1U height, for any network rack or cabinet.

Cable organiser shelf
An integrated shelf with handles and metal cable holders supports the installation cables behind the numbered ports.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a special tool?
Yes. The installation cable is terminated on the back with an LSA (Krone) punch-down tool, which is not included. If you order the panel with cable, tell us and we add a suitable tool.
Does Cat.7 make it faster than Cat 6A?
Not by itself. The RJ45 connector limits the link; Lanberg calls the panel Cat.7 for its shielded build and Cat 7-type cable, but publishes no MHz or class rating. For 10 Gbit/s, run shielded Cat 6A or better cable and Cat 6A patch cords, and ask us to check the full link.
Does it fit my rack?
It fits standard 19-inch racks and cabinets and takes up 1U. Send us the rack model if you want us to check depth and free space.
Does it need to be grounded?
Yes, for the shield to work. Connect the panel to the rack or building earth; Lanberg lists a grounding kit for this model. With unshielded cable the shield has no effect.
Singular Expert Insight
We suggest the PPS7-1024-S for grey racks cabled with shielded Cat 7-type cable, where the cable organiser keeps the back of the rack tidy. Plan the panel with cable and patch cords of the same category, and label the ports as you terminate them. Every order comes with Singular’s local support in Cyprus. See our patch panels or the network switches and network cables that complete the link.
