LANCOM 1800EF Fibre VPN Router
SFP FTTH fibre4-Port GigabitMulti-WANSD-WAN · IPsec
The LANCOM 1800EF is a high-performance business VPN router for flexible site networking over Gigabit fibre. It connects directly to an FTTH line via its SFP port (using an optional LANCOM GPON/AON SFP module, SX or LX), and adds a Gigabit Ethernet WAN plus four Gigabit ports — up to three of which can be extra WAN links with load balancing. Supplied under part number 62138 (EAN 4044144621383), it delivers LANCOM SD-WAN, IPsec VPN, a stateful firewall and up to 16 isolated IP contexts, managed via the LANCOM Management Cloud. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Before you buy
This is a wired VPN router with no Wi-Fi (the 1800EFW adds Wi-Fi 6) and no cellular (see 1800EF-4G/-5G). Direct fibre needs an optional LANCOM GPON/AON SFP module; alternatively use the Gigabit WAN with an external modem. Extra VPN channels (25) are enabled via licensing.
Best For
✓Branch sites on direct fibre (FTTH)
✓SD-WAN with Auto-VPN and Mesh VPN
✓Multi-WAN load balancing and failover
✓Secure IPsec site-to-site VPN
✓Segmented networks (up to 16 contexts)
✓LANCOM Management Cloud deployments
Key Features
Direct fibre via SFP
An SFP port connects straight to an FTTH line with an optional LANCOM GPON/AON module (SX/LX), removing the need for a separate ONT.
Flexible multi-WAN
A Gigabit WAN plus up to three convertible Gigabit ports enable active/active load balancing and failover across multiple links.
SD-WAN & Auto-VPN
LANCOM SD-WAN with Auto-VPN, Advanced Mesh VPN and Dynamic Path Selection builds resilient, automated site-to-site connectivity.
Enterprise security
A stateful inspection firewall with intrusion prevention and DoS protection, plus up to 16 isolated IP contexts, secures the whole network.

Singular Expert Insight
The 1800EF is the straightforward fibre VPN router for branches that want SD-WAN and strong security without cellular or Wi-Fi. If you need built-in wireless, pick the 1800EFW; for mobile backup, the 1800EF-4G/-5G. Add LANCOM access points and a network switch to complete the site.
Buyer's Guide
Buy it if
You need a fibre-ready branch VPN router with SFP FTTH, multi-WAN, SD-WAN and strong security, without cellular or Wi-Fi.
Skip it if
You want built-in Wi-Fi, cellular backup, or a simple home router — the 1800EFW, 1800EF-5G or a consumer model fit better.
Also consider
The LANCOM 1800EFW for Wi-Fi 6, or the 1800EF-5G for integrated 5G backup.
