The LANCOM SFP-CO10-MG in bulk package 60189 is a pack of ten copper SFP+ modules that turn a switch SFP+ cage into a multi-gigabit RJ-45 port running at 10, 5, 2.5 or 1 Gbps. It suits connecting servers, NAS units or Wi-Fi 6/7 access points with multi-gig ports to a LANCOM switch over copper. Reach is up to 30 m on CAT6A cable. In practice, a copper module is the quickest way to connect a nearby device that only has an RJ-45 port, without buying a media converter. Keep it for short runs next to the switch and use fibre for anything further away.

Compatibility — check before buying:
This article is ten modules; the single article is 60170. Because copper SFP+ modules draw more power and run hotter, LANCOM limits how many can run in one switch — for example one module in a GS-3510XP and four at once in an XS-5110F. A 10-pack will not all run in one small switch. Reach is 30 m on CAT6A, not the 100 m of standard copper Ethernet. For 1G-only copper, LANCOM’s SFP-CO1 is the right part. Not sure? How many can I use in one switch?
It depends on the switch. LANCOM publishes a limit per model because of power and heat: one module in the GS-3510XP, up to four at once in the XS-5110F. Send us your switch model and we confirm the number.
How long can the cable be?
Up to 30 m on CAT6A, per LANCOM. That is shorter than standard copper Ethernet, so for longer runs use fibre modules.
Is anything else needed to make the link?
Only a Cat6A cable of up to 30 m and a free SFP+ port on the switch. Check the port limit for your switch model first.
Will it work in a switch from another brand?
LANCOM tests and approves its modules across its own models and excludes support for third-party SFPs inside LANCOM devices. Operation of LANCOM modules in other brands’ switches is not something LANCOM publishes, so we do not promise it — send us the switch model and we check it.
