The LANCOM Advanced VPN Client for Windows (61600) is a single licence of the IPsec VPN client that connects a Windows laptop or PC securely to the company network from home, a hotel or a customer site. It is for businesses running LANCOM routers or VPN gateways that want a managed, enterprise-grade client for their mobile staff.
The client builds IPsec tunnels with IKEv2 (and classic IKE main and aggressive mode), supports certificates and smart cards, and includes its own stateful firewall. With LANCOM gateways it adds seamless roaming between networks and IPsec over HTTPS for hotel and guest networks that block normal VPN traffic. One licence activates the client on one Windows system at a time.
Before you order: The licence is for Windows 11 and Windows 10 on Intel or AMD x86-64 computers. It does not run on macOS or Windows on ARM. Seamless roaming and IPsec over HTTPS are guaranteed only against LANCOM gateways with the required LCOS versions.

What It Means in Practice
- Remote staff click once to connect to the office network, with the same security policy as on site.
- On hotel or guest Wi-Fi that blocks IPsec, the IPsec over HTTPS function (VPN Path Finder) still gets the tunnel through.
- When a laptop moves from Wi-Fi to mobile data, seamless roaming keeps the VPN session up against LANCOM gateways.
- If a laptop is replaced, the licence can be deactivated and moved to the new system.
What Will Not Work
- It does not run on macOS, Linux, iOS, Android or Windows on ARM.
- One licence covers one system at a time; each additional laptop needs its own licence or a bulk pack.
- It is not an SSL VPN or browser-based remote access product.
- Roaming and IPsec over HTTPS are not guaranteed with third-party VPN gateways.
