LANCOM VPN-1000 Option — 1000 VPN channels
1000 channelsISG-4000 / 5000Licence keyNo hardware
The LANCOM VPN-1000 Option (item 61403) is a software licence that raises the number of concurrent VPN channels on a LANCOM central-site gateway to 1000. LANCOM’s ISG datasheets list it for the ISG-4000, which has 200 channels as standard (500 with the VPN-500 Option), and the ISG-5000, which has 100 as standard (200 or 500 with the smaller options). The option is activated with a licence key after registration on the LANCOM website; no hardware is shipped or installed. LANCOM’s VPN Option family covers IPsec and WireGuard channels. In practice it lets one head-office gateway terminate the tunnels of a large branch network or a big remote workforce.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Check your gateway model first. LANCOM’s current documents list this option only for the ISG-4000 and ISG-5000. It does not work on LANCOM 1800, 1900 or 2100EF routers, which use the VPN-25, -50 and -100 options, or on the ISG-8000, which has its own site option. Older gateways such as the 8011 VPN are not listed in LANCOM’s current VPN Option documents, so send us your model and serial before ordering. The licence is tied to one device. Not sure? Tell us your model and we check it for you.

Singular Expert Insight
Before buying VPN channels, count the peak number of branches and remote users that connect at the same time, then add headroom. If your gateway is older than the ISG series, a newer gateway is often the better investment. For LANCOM gateways, see our routers.
