Lenovo Dual-Mode Wireless ANC Headset 6550 — Teams Certified, USB-C Receiver
Hybrid ANCAI-powered ENC on the mic360° busy LEDBluetooth 5.3 with USB-C receiver
The Lenovo Dual-Mode Wireless ANC Headset 6550 is a Microsoft Teams certified wireless headset for open offices, and order code 4XD1S19778 is the USB-C receiver version. Lenovo pairs hybrid active noise cancellation on your ears with AI-powered environmental noise cancellation on the microphone side, so the room is dealt with in both directions. Dual-mode connectivity means the headset holds a computer and a phone and switches between them instantly, and the 360-degree busy LED tells the people walking past that you are on a call. Lenovo publishes up to 60 hours of playback and 30 hours of talk with ANC and the busy light switched off.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Two points to settle before ordering. The bundled Bluetooth receiver is USB-C; the identical headset with a USB-A receiver is order code 4XD1S19777, and those two codes differ only in that connector. On a desktop or dock with USB-A ports only, the 19777 is the one you want. Second, this is the Teams certified build, aimed at Microsoft Teams open-office deployments. Be aware that Lenovo publishes highlights for this accessory rather than a full specification table — driver size, weight and package contents are not among the figures it makes public, so we do not quote numbers for them. Tell us the machines it has to work with and we will confirm the order code.
Best For
✓ Microsoft Teams open-office deployments on Lenovo estates
✓ Desks that switch between a laptop and a phone through the day
✓ Staff who want ANC and a busy indicator in one device
✓ Fleets deployed and updated through Lenovo LADM and LAFM
✓ Users who wear a headset long enough for earpads to wear out
✓ Offices that want a longer manufacturer warranty than the usual two years
Key Features
Noise cancellation working in both directions
Hybrid ANC quiets the room for you, while AI-powered ENC cleans up what your microphone sends. Most headsets at this level do one or the other properly; Lenovo publishes both as headline features of this model.
Dual-mode switching between two devices
The headset connects to a computer and a smartphone at once and switches instantly between them, so a mobile call does not mean unpairing from the laptop. The USB-C receiver in this code handles the computer side as plug and play.
Sixty hours of playback, thirty of talk
Published with ANC and the busy light switched off. Switching either on will cost battery, as it does on every headset in this class, but the headline figures mean a week of ordinary use between charges for most people.
Earpads you can replace yourself
Lenovo lists easy-to-replace earpads and SGS certification for extended wear, with premium leatherette over memory foam. On a headset worn every day, the pads are the first thing to go, and being able to renew them extends the life of the whole unit.

Singular Expert Insight
This headset makes most sense as part of a Lenovo estate, because that is where the management story pays off — LADM and LAFM push firmware and settings to it the same way they handle the laptops, which is a real saving when you are deploying a hundred of them rather than one. The 3-year base warranty is also worth noting: Jabra, EPOS and Poly all publish 2 years on comparable office headsets, so Lenovo is a year ahead here. The honest caveat is documentation. Lenovo publishes highlights for this accessory rather than a specification sheet, so driver size, weight, range and package contents are simply not public, and any figures you find quoted for them elsewhere are not coming from the manufacturer. If you need those numbers before committing to a fleet, tell us and we will get them from Lenovo in writing. Compare the alternatives across our office and VoIP headsets range, and the docking stations section if the USB-C port on the laptop is already spoken for.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You run Microsoft Teams on a Lenovo estate and want ANC, a noise-cancelling microphone and a busy LED in one wireless device, managed centrally. Bluetooth 5.3, a USB-C receiver, up to 60 hours of playback and a 3-year manufacturer term.
Skip it if
Your machines are USB-A — order 4XD1S19777 instead, which is the same headset with the other receiver. Skip it too if you need published driver, weight or range figures before buying, because Lenovo does not release them for this accessory.
Also consider
The USB-A version 4XD1S19777 for older desks, the Jabra Evolve2 55 if you want a fully documented specification sheet, or the EPOS IMPACT 860 ANC if a wired headset with ANC would do the job.
