Gigabit Copper to Multimode Fibre

RJ45 → SC1 Gbps850 nm550 m

Extend a copper Ethernet connection over a planned multimode fibre route. GVT-2001 combines an auto-sensing 10/100/1000 RJ45 port with built-in 850 nm SC optics, rated by LevelOne for links up to 550 m. It works as a standalone converter or in a CHV-2000 chassis; Smart LFP and DIP controls help configure and monitor the link.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Match multimode fibre, SC termination, 850 nm optics and the link budget at the other end. The 550 m figure is a manufacturer maximum, not a guarantee for every installed route. This is unmanaged and does not supply PoE.

The fixed 850 nm optical connection removes SFP selection from this converter. Confirm the fibre route and remote optical specification before choosing it.

Is an SFP module required?
No. The SC optical interface is built in; it is not an open SFP slot.
