LevelOne KVM-0222 2-Port USB VGA KVM Switch

2 PCs → 1 VGA monitor2048 x 1536Button, hotkey, auto-scan1.8 m cable sets

The LevelOne KVM-0222 is a 2-port USB VGA KVM switch that lets 2 computers share one VGA monitor and a USB keyboard and mouse. It is a straightforward, low-cost choice for server corners, labs, point-of-sale back offices and desks that still use VGA displays or older PCs.

2 USB KVM combo cable sets (1.8 m) are included, the switch is powered over USB, and ports can be selected by push button, keyboard hotkey or timed auto-scan.

Compatibility note: This is an analogue VGA switch. Computers with only HDMI, DisplayPort or USB-C outputs need active adapters, and picture quality depends on the VGA signal.

Key Features

Flexible switching
Push buttons, keyboard hotkeys and an auto-scan mode adjustable from 10 to 60 seconds in 5-second steps; a Windows switching utility is included.

Plug-and-play
No drivers or power adapter: the switch draws power from USB and is recognised by Windows and Mac systems automatically.

Compact and light
High-impact plastic housing (96 x 61 x 24 mm, 109 g) with an LED display showing the active port.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the KVM-0222 with an HDMI or DisplayPort computer?
Only through an active HDMI-to-VGA or DisplayPort-to-VGA adapter on each PC, because the switch carries analogue VGA. For all-digital setups look at an HDMI or DisplayPort KVM instead.
What is the difference between the KVM-0222 and the KVM-0221?
The KVM-0221 adds 3.5 mm audio and microphone switching; otherwise the two are the same design.
Can I scale up from 2 computers?
Yes, the 4-port KVM-0422 uses the same controls and cable sets, so it is the natural step up.

Singular Expert Insight

The KVM-0222 is an honest, budget VGA KVM with more switching options (button, hotkey, adjustable auto-scan) than most in its class. It makes sense where VGA monitors or legacy servers are still in use; for modern HDMI or DisplayPort screens, a digital KVM will give a sharper picture. Browse our KVM switches.
✓ Buy it if you run 2 PCs with VGA outputs on one monitor and want button, hotkey and auto-scan control.
✕ Skip it if your computers and monitor are HDMI or DisplayPort only.
→ Also consider KVM-0221 (with audio), TRENDnet TK-209K (2-port VGA with audio).
