LevelOne POS-3000 — run a non-PoE device from a standard PoE+ port
802.3af/at in5V / 12V / 18V DCGigabitUp to 25W
The LevelOne POS-3000 is a Gigabit PoE splitter that takes power and data from a standard IEEE 802.3af/at PoE switch or injector and separates them into a Gigabit RJ45 data port and a DC output of 5 V, 12 V or 18 V. It lets you place a non-PoE access point, camera, media converter or small device where only a network cable can reach.
Set the voltage with the DIP switch, fit the matching DC tip and connect the device’s network port to the data output.
Before you order: Output current depends on the voltage: 5 V up to 3.5 A, 12 V up to 2 A, 18 V up to 1 A. Check your device’s original adapter rating — a 12 V / 3 A device, for example, needs more than the splitter can supply.
What's in the Box
- LevelOne POS-3000 Gigabit PoE Splitter
- Quick Installation Guide
- Interchangeable DC tips listed by LevelOne: 5.5 x 2.5, 5.5 x 2.1, 4.8 x 1.7 and 3.5 x 1.3 mm
What It Means in Practice
- Any standard 802.3af/at switch or injector can power it — no special source needed.
- The highest output is at 12 V (up to 24 W), which suits most cameras and access points without PoE.
- The four DC tips cover the most common barrel plugs.
- Gigabit data passes through unchanged.
What Will Not Work
- Devices needing 9 V, 19 V, 24 V or 48 V are not supported.
- It cannot supply more than its rated current per voltage (e.g. not 3 A at 12 V).
- It is not an injector — a PoE source is required at the other end.
- Passive PoE sources are not specified.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
A flexible way to power a non-PoE IP camera, access point or converter from an existing PoE+ switch. Check the voltage and current on the device’s original adapter first — that decides whether it fits.
✓ Buy it if your device runs on 5, 12 or 18 V within the listed current and you have a standard PoE source.
✕ Skip it if your device needs 19/24 V or more than 2 A at 12 V.
→ Also consider PLANET POE-171S Ultra PoE splitter for 12/19/24 V and up to 50 W.
Send us the device model or a photo of its power adapter label and we will confirm the setting.
