The LevelOne POS-5001 is a Gigabit PoE splitter with a USB-C Power Delivery output. It takes a PoE cable from a switch or injector, passes the Gigabit data on through an RJ45 port and turns the power into USB-C PD 3.0 with up to 45 W, negotiated automatically between 5 and 24 V. That lets a USB-C laptop, tablet, thin client or IoT device run from the network cable without a mains adapter. It measures 80 × 53 × 24 mm, weighs 80 g and has short-circuit protection.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The PoE source must deliver enough power — 45 W at the USB-C side needs an 802.3bt (PoE++) port; with 802.3at the available power is lower. The device must charge over USB-C PD. LevelOne does not list cables in the box. It is a splitter, not an injector: it takes power out of the cable. Operating range is 0–40 °C, so indoors only. Not sure?
