The LevelOne HVE-9200 is an HDBaseT HDMI extender kit — transmitter HVE-9211T plus receiver HVE-9211R — that sends HDMI video, multichannel audio, IR and RS-232 over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable up to 100 m, for installers connecting a source in a rack or office to a display in another room.
Both units have their own 12 V power adapter, so each end needs a mains socket. Two IR remote-extender sets and bi-directional RS-232 let you keep controlling the source or the display from the far end.
Before you order: Each unit needs its own power at its location. If there is no socket at the display end, choose the HVE-9200P, which powers the receiver over the cable.

What It Means in Practice
- Put the source (PC, media player, set-top box) in the rack or office and the display up to 100 m away — only one Cat cable runs between them.
- Point the remote at the display end and the IR signal reaches the source; RS-232 carries projector or display control commands.
- EDID handling selects a resolution the display supports, so the picture comes up without manual setup.
- Use this kit where both ends have power; it keeps the installation simple and independent of PoE.
What Will Not Work
- Receiver will not run without its own adapter — this kit has no PoE.
- No 4K at 60 Hz — the maximum is 3840 × 2160 at 30 Hz.
- Not for use through a network switch — HDBaseT needs a direct point-to-point Cat cable run.
- LevelOne does not publish an Ethernet/LAN pass-through for this series, so do not plan network connectivity over the same cable.
