LevelOne POR-1100 — Outdoor PoE Repeater: +100 m of Ethernet and PoE per Unit
+100 m per repeaterPowered by PoECascadable up to 900 m10/100 Mbps
The LevelOne POR-1100 is an outdoor PoE repeater that extends a Power over Ethernet link by another 100 m, so installers can reach IP cameras, access points or intercoms beyond the normal 100 m Ethernet limit — along fences, car parks, farm buildings and warehouses — without installing a power socket midway.
The repeater takes its own power from the incoming PoE line and passes the remaining power and data on through its OUT port. Units can be cascaded: from a standard 15.4 W PoE port up to three repeaters (about 500 m in total), from a 30 W PoE+ port up to seven (about 800 m), and from a 40 W source up to eight (about 900 m). Data runs at 10/100 Mbps.
Before you order: Each repeater uses part of the PoE power, so less is left at the far end. From a 15.4 W PoE port, the first repeater passes on at most 10.9 W — enough for a typical fixed camera, not for PTZ cameras or Wi-Fi 6 access points.
What's in the Box
- LevelOne POR-1100 PoE repeater
- LevelOne does not publish the full package list — no Ethernet cables are included
What It Means in Practice
- One repeater in the middle of a 200 m run lets you place a camera at a gate or perimeter fence without a local socket.
- Power left at the OUT port with a 15.4 W PoE source: about 10.9 W after one repeater, 6.5 W after two, 3.84 W after three.
- With a 30 W PoE+ source: about 25.5 W after one repeater, then 21, 16.5, 12 and 7.5 W as you add units — choose PoE+ upstream for long chains.
- Data is Fast Ethernet (100 Mbps): fine for IP cameras and VoIP, a bottleneck for Wi-Fi access points that need Gigabit.
- No configuration: plug the incoming PoE cable into IN and the device cable into OUT.
What Will Not Work
- No Gigabit — the link runs at 10/100 Mbps only.
- Will not start from a non-PoE switch port; it needs a PoE source upstream.
- Not for high-power PoE++ (802.3bt) devices such as large PTZ cameras or heated housings.
- With non-standard or poor-quality (non-CAT5) cable, LevelOne notes the 100 m reach may be shorter.
- LevelOne does not publish an IP rating, so for direct rain exposure install it inside a sealed outdoor junction box.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many can I chain?
Up to 3 with a standard 15.4 W PoE switch, up to 7 with a 30 W PoE+ port, and up to 8 with a 40 W source — but the power left for the end device drops with each unit.
Will my access point work at the end?
Only if it accepts 100 Mbps and its power draw fits the table above. Most Wi-Fi 6 access points need more than one repeater can pass on from a 15.4 W port.
Does it need a power adapter?
No. It is powered from the incoming PoE cable.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The POR-1100 is the simplest fix for a camera that sits 150–300 m from the switch. Feed it from a PoE+ port, keep chains short and check the power your device needs at the end of the run. For the cable itself, see our
network cables.
✓ Buy it if you need to reach a 100 Mbps PoE camera, phone or intercom 100–300 m away without a power socket on the way.
✕ Skip it if your device needs Gigabit or more power than the chain can pass on.
→ Also consider a fibre link with media converters for runs over 300 m or Gigabit needs.
Tell us the distance, the PoE switch and the device at the end and we will check how many repeaters you need and how much power reaches it before you order.
