The LevelOne POI-5003 is a single-port Gigabit PoE injector with a 90 W IEEE 802.3bt power budget. It adds power to an existing Ethernet link, so one cable carries 10/100/1000 Mbps data and up to 90 W to a device up to 100 m away. LevelOne names high-power PTZ cameras and LED lighting among the loads it is built for. It powers all four pairs (Mode A/B), detects and protects non-standard devices, has 6 kV surge protection and a wall-mount design, and the power supply is built in. It measures 179.5 × 65.3 × 40 mm and weighs 0.75 kg.
Compatibility — check before buying:
For IEEE 802.3af/at/bt devices. It is not a passive-PoE injector. LevelOne includes a power cord but does not state its plug type, so tell us if you need a UK plug for Cyprus. The device receives the full 90 W only if it supports 802.3bt Type 4; for 30 W or 60 W devices a smaller injector is enough. LevelOne also sells the POI-5002W90, a different 90 W model. Not sure?
