The LevelOne POI-2002 is a single-port PoE injector that adds IEEE 802.3af power — up to 15.4 W — to a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet link, for dome cameras, VoIP phones and other low-power PoE devices up to 100 m away. It is an economical way to power one 802.3af device from a switch without PoE.

Connect the switch to the data port, the device to the PoE port and the injector to the mains; the power supply is built in.

Before you order: Data is Fast Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) only — a Gigabit access point or camera connected through it will link at 100 Mbps. For Gigabit, choose a Gigabit injector such as the POI-3000.

Will it power a PoE+ access point?
Only if the access point can run on 802.3af (15.4 W). Many dual-band models need 802.3at — choose a 30 W injector for those.
Does it slow down a Gigabit device?
Yes, the link will run at 100 Mbps. That is fine for phones and most small cameras.
Is a power cord included?
