The Lexmark 50G0852 4-Bin Mailbox is an output option that installs on top of Lexmark MS82x / MX82x mono lasers and gives the printer four separate output bins of up to 100 sheets each.
It is built for shared printers where several people or departments print to the same device and need their pages kept apart.
Before you order: For MX820-series MFPs, Lexmark allows only one output option. On the MS82x printers you can combine up to three output devices (4-Bin Mailbox and/or Offset Stacker).

What It Means in Practice
- Each bin holds up to 100 sheets of 75 g/m² paper and has empty/full sensing.
- Assign bins to users or departments from the driver so printouts do not get mixed up.
- Paper sizes: A4, A5, A6, JIS B5, Executive, Folio, Letter, Legal, Oficio, Statement; plain paper 60–90 g/m² only.
- Size 271 × 421 × 384 mm (H × W × D), 6.3 kg — it adds about 27 cm to the printer height.
What Will Not Work
- MX721 / MX722 models — not listed by Lexmark for this mailbox.
- Labels, card or heavy paper — plain paper 60–90 g/m² only.
- A second output option on MX820-series MFPs.
- Older Lexmark generations — they use different 4-Bin Mailbox part numbers.

On a busy shared printer the 4-Bin Mailbox removes the daily “whose pages are these” problem. Check that your model is on the list — the MX72x MFPs are not. See our printer accessories range for Lexmark trays and options.
✓ Buy it if several users share an MS82x / MX822 / MX826 and need separate output bins.
✕ Skip it if you own an MX721/MX722 or print mainly on labels or card.
