Lexmark 72K0W00 Waste Toner Container · Up to 115,000 pages
Genuine LexmarkUp to 115,000 pagesCS/CX820 · CX825 · CX860 · XC8155LCCP free recycling
The Lexmark CS/CX820, 827, CX825, 860, C6160, XC6152, 6153, 8155, 8160, 8163 115K Waste Container (72K0W00) is the genuine waste toner container that collects the excess toner left over during printing, rated by Lexmark at up to 115,000 pages, for offices running Lexmark CS820, CS827, CX820, CX825, CX827 and CX860 colour lasers and the C6160, XC6152, XC6153, XC8155, XC8160 and XC8163 models.
It is rated for up to 115,000 pages on mixed 3-page jobs, which makes it one of the longer-lasting parts in these printers. The container is enrolled in the Lexmark Cartridge Collection Program for free return and recycling.
What's in the Box
- 1 x Lexmark Waste Toner Container (72K0W00)
- Lexmark packaging with Cartridge Collection Program (LCCP) return and recycling information
What It Means in Practice
- When the printer reports that the waste toner container is nearly full, order this part so the replacement is on hand before the printer stops.
- Rated life is up to 115,000 pages. Real life depends on coverage, colour mix, calibration cycles and how often the machine is switched on and off, so heavy colour users replace it sooner.
- Replacement is a user task on the listed models: open the indicated cover, lift out the full container, seal it and slide the new one in. No technician visit is needed.
- A full waste toner container cannot be emptied and reused. Lexmark designs it as a sealed, single-use part, and reusing it risks spills inside the printer.
- Keep one spare per printer in busy offices, because the printer will not print until a full container has been replaced.
- Handle the full waste toner container carefully: keep it upright, close any caps or seals supplied, and place it in the packaging of the new unit before disposal or return.
- Store the spare in its sealed packaging at normal office temperature, away from direct sunlight, until the printer asks for it.
What Will Not Work
- Lexmark CS/CX72x and C4150 series, which use the 74C0W00 container.
- Lexmark CS/CX42x, 52x, 62x and C2xxx models, which use the 78C0W00 container.
- It contains no toner: the toner cartridges are ordered separately.
- A full container cannot be emptied and refitted.
Key Features
Genuine Lexmark part
Made by Lexmark for the listed printers, so it fits the slot exactly and the printer recognises the fill level correctly.
Rated up to 115,000 pages
Capacity published by Lexmark: up to 115,000 pages. One container lasts through several toner changes on typical office volumes.
Clean handling
The container is designed to be removed and closed off without exposing toner, which keeps the office and the inside of the printer clean.
Planned maintenance
Because the printer warns before the container is full, you can schedule the swap together with toner orders and avoid unplanned downtime.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
On CS/CX820 and XC8100-class printers the waste container rarely needs changing, which is exactly why it is often missing when the printer finally asks for it. Order on the first nearly-full message. See the full Singular waste toner range if you run more than one model.
✓ Buy it if you run a CS820, CS827, CX820, CX825, CX827, CX860, C6160, XC6152, XC6153, XC8155, XC8160 or XC8163.
