LG UltraGear 32G600A-B — 31.5" QHD 1000R Curved Gaming Monitor, 180Hz

31.5" VA · 1000R curveQHD 180Hz1ms GtG · FreeSync3000:1 contrast

The LG UltraGear 32G600A-B is a 31.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) curved VA gaming monitor with a tight 1000R curvature, 180Hz refresh rate and 1ms GtG response. It is aimed at gamers who want a big, immersive screen with deep contrast at a mid-range price.

The VA panel delivers 3000:1 typical contrast — around three times a typical IPS — so dark scenes look deeper and blacks less grey. Colour coverage is 99% sRGB with factory colour calibration, and the monitor accepts HDR10 content.

Before you order: LG does not publish the HDMI version or which input reaches 180Hz. Connect your gaming PC with DisplayPort 1.4 for the full refresh rate. The 1000R curve is strong — great for immersion, less suited to CAD or straight-line design work.

What's in the Box

  • LG UltraGear 32G600A-B monitor with stand
  • DisplayPort cable and HDMI cable (per LG accessory list)
  • External power adapter

What It Means in Practice

  • Use DisplayPort 1.4 from your graphics card for 180Hz with AMD FreeSync.
  • At 31.5" QHD the pixel density is about 93 PPI — text is large and comfortable at 100% scaling.
  • The 1000R curve wraps the screen around your field of view; sit around 60–80cm away for the best effect.
  • The stand adjusts 110mm in height, tilts -5° to 15° and swivels ±30°.
  • Black Stabilizer, Dynamic Action Sync and Crosshair are built into the gaming menu.

What Will Not Work

  • No built-in speakers are listed — use headphones on the headphone jack or external speakers.
  • No USB-C, USB hub or pivot.
  • Do not assume 180Hz over HDMI; LG only states 180Hz as the maximum refresh rate.
  • The power supply is an external adapter, not built in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is 1000R too curved?
1000R is the most aggressive common curve. It is very immersive for games and video at a normal desk distance; for architecture or CAD work with straight lines, a flat or 1500R+ screen is easier.
Can I connect a PS5 or Xbox?
Yes, via HDMI. Consoles output up to 120Hz at 1440p or 1080p; LG does not publish HDMI 2.1 features for this model.
VA or IPS — which should I choose?
VA gives much deeper contrast (3000:1 here). IPS gives wider viewing angles and usually more consistent colour. For dark games and movies, VA is a strong choice.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The 32G600A-B gives you a large, deeply curved QHD screen with real contrast at a price below many 27" IPS gaming monitors. Use DisplayPort for 180Hz and plan for headphones or speakers. If your desk is shallow, measure first — the curve adds depth. Browse other PC monitors for flat alternatives.
✓ Buy it if you want an immersive 32" curved QHD gaming screen with deep blacks and 180Hz.
✕ Skip it if you do precise straight-line design work, need speakers, or want a USB hub or pivot.
→ Also consider the Philips Evnia 32M2C5501 (31.5" 1500R VA, 180Hz, Ambiglow) or a flat 27" Fast IPS gaming monitor.
