Lindy 38490 DisplayPort to HDMI Hybrid Cable, 10 m
Connects a DisplayPort PC output to an HDMI TV, monitor or projector 10 m away at 4K 60Hz, using fibre for the long run.
DP to HDMI 4K 60Hz10 m hybrid fibre18 Gbps
The Lindy 38490 is a 10 m DisplayPort to HDMI hybrid copper/fibre cable that converts a DisplayPort 1.2 output from a PC or graphics card into HDMI at up to 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz, for TVs, projectors and monitors across a room. The fibre section carries the 18 Gbps signal reliably over 10 m, where passive DisplayPort-to-HDMI cables often fail at 4K. Part number 38490 uses gold-plated connectors and a PVC jacket.
Compatibility Note: The conversion works in one direction only: DisplayPort source (PC/GPU) to HDMI display. It cannot connect an HDMI source to a DisplayPort monitor.
Key Features
Active DP to HDMI conversion
Turns a DisplayPort 1.2 output into HDMI at 4K 60Hz, so a PC without spare HDMI ports can drive a TV or projector.
10 m without signal loss
Hybrid fibre carries the 18 Gbps signal over 10 m where copper adapters and cables are unreliable at 4K.
Single cable
No separate adapter or extender in the chain: DisplayPort plug on one end, HDMI plug on the other.

Singular Expert Insight
The 38490 solves a common problem: a desktop or workstation with only DisplayPort outputs that needs to feed a distant HDMI TV or projector at 4K. Using one hybrid cable is cleaner and more reliable than a DP-to-HDMI adapter plus a long HDMI cable.
✓ Buy it if you need 4K 60Hz from a DisplayPort output to an HDMI screen 10 m away.
✕ Skip it if you need 4K 120Hz or HDR at high refresh; this is an 18 Gbps DP 1.2-class link.
→ Also consider a short DP-to-HDMI adapter plus an HDMI active optical cable if you need a longer run.
