LINDY 3m IEC C14 to C15 Power Extension Cable
C14 → C1510A / 250V120 °C hot condition3 m
The LINDY 30402 is a 3 metre IEC C14 to C15 mains extension cable with H05VV-F 3G 1.0mm² copper conductors, rated 10A at 250V AC, used to connect equipment with a C16 or C14 inlet to a PDU, UPS or other C13-style outlet.
The C15 end is the "hot condition" version of the familiar kettle-style connector: it has a notch that lets it mate with C16 inlets on equipment that runs hot, and LINDY rates it for temperatures up to 120 °C. That makes it the correct cable for broadcast gear, network equipment in hot racks, and any device whose manual asks for a C15 lead — and it still plugs into normal C14 inlets.
Before you order: Check the inlet on your device. This cable ends in a C14 plug, so it needs a C13 or C15 socket such as a rack PDU or UPS outlet — it does not plug into a wall socket.
What's in the Box
- 1 × LINDY 3m IEC C14 to IEC C15 power extension cable, black (30402)
What It Means in Practice
- Use it between a rack PDU or UPS (C13 outlets) and a switch, server or AV device that has a C16 or C14 inlet.
- The C15 connector is the correct choice when a device specifies a hot-condition lead, where a standard C13 cable is not permitted.
- 1.0mm² copper conductors support the full 10A rating of the connectors.
- 3 m gives enough slack to route power between neighbouring racks or from a floor-standing UPS to a desk or cabinet.
What Will Not Work
- No wall plug: the C14 end fits only C13/C15 sockets such as PDUs, UPS outlets and power strips with IEC outlets.
- Not for C19/C20 16A equipment such as high-power servers and large UPS units; those need C19/C20 cables.
- A C15 connector will not fit a standard C13 appliance inlet in reverse — check you need C14/C16 at the device.
- The 10A limit applies; do not use it to feed a power strip that supplies more than 10A in total.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between C13 and C15?
A C15 connector has a notch that fits C16 inlets used on equipment that runs hot, and it is rated to 120 °C. A standard C13 connector does not fit C16 inlets and is rated for lower temperatures.
Will the C15 end fit a normal PC or monitor inlet?
Yes. A C15 fits standard C14 inlets as well as C16 inlets, so you can use it on ordinary IT equipment too.
Can I plug this into a wall socket?
No. The other end is a C14 plug, which only fits C13 or C15 outlets such as those on a PDU or UPS.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
IEC extension cables are what you use inside a rack: they run from the PDU or UPS to each device without wall plugs taking up space. Choose C15 when any of your equipment has a C16 inlet or runs hot; it works with standard C14 inlets as well. For PDUs, shelves and cable managers, see our
rack accessories.
✓ Buy it if you need to power a C14 or C16 device from a PDU or UPS and want the hot-condition rating.
✕ Skip it if your device has a C20 inlet or draws more than 10A, or you need a lead with a wall plug.
→ Also consider Shorter or longer LINDY C14–C15 extensions in the same series for tidy rack cabling.
