Lindy 36498 Anthra Line — 0.5 m DisplayPort 1.4 Extension Cable

8K @ 60 Hz0.5 mMale → Female

The Lindy 36498 is a 0.5 m DisplayPort 1.4 extension cable from the Anthra Line range, with a DisplayPort male plug on one end and a female socket on the other. Use it to extend an existing DisplayPort cable, or to bring a hard-to-reach graphics card port to a more convenient spot and save wear on the card's connector. It supports up to 8K at 60 Hz with HDCP and 3D.

Compatibility note: Every extra connection adds signal loss. Keep the total length (extension plus main cable) short, ideally under 3 m, when running DisplayPort 1.4 high-refresh or 8K modes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why use a DisplayPort extension cable instead of a longer cable?
An extension lets you keep your current cable and add a little length, or leave the short extension plugged into the PC so the graphics card port is not worn by frequent plugging.
Does the Lindy 36498 support MST daisy-chaining and audio?
Yes. As a passive DisplayPort 1.4 extension it passes all DisplayPort signals, including MST and audio, as long as the rest of the chain supports them.
Singular Expert Insight
The Lindy 36498 is a small but useful part for desks where the PC sits under the table or the graphics card port is hard to reach. Lindy's Anthra Line build quality means it will not be the weak point in a DisplayPort 1.4 chain. If you just need a longer run, a single cable of the right length is always better than an extension. See our DisplayPort cables.
✓ Buy it if you need to add 50 cm to a DisplayPort cable or protect a hard-to-reach port.
✕ Skip it if the total run would exceed about 3 m at 8K or high-refresh 4K.
→ Also consider the ALOGIC Fusion FUDP2-SGR 2 m DisplayPort 1.4 cable if you would rather replace the whole cable.
