Lindy 36204 · Gold Line DVI-D Dual Link · 5 m

DVI-D Dual Link2560 × 160028 AWG OFC25-year warranty

The Lindy 36204 is a 5 m Gold Line DVI-D Dual Link cable (24+1 male to male) for connecting PCs, graphics cards and KVM switches to DVI monitors and projectors. Part number 36204 uses 28 AWG oxygen-free copper, an 85% copper braid, an 8.6 mm grey PVC jacket and 24K gold-plated metal housings.

Dual Link wiring supports up to 2560 × 1600 at 60 Hz (9.9 Gbps), so it also drives 1440p DVI monitors that single-link cables cannot.

Compatibility note: DVI-D carries digital video only: it does not carry analogue VGA signals or audio. It is a DVI cable, not HDMI; to connect an HDMI device use a DVI-D to HDMI cable or adapter.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a Dual Link DVI cable for my monitor?
Only for resolutions above 1920 × 1200, such as 2560 × 1440 or 2560 × 1600 monitors, or 1080p at 120/144 Hz. The 36204 handles both single- and dual-link signals.
Which other lengths are available?
The Lindy Gold Line DVI-D Dual Link range runs from 0.5 m to 25 m (part numbers 36200 to 36209).
Singular Expert Insight
The 36204 is the right cable for older 1440p and 1600p DVI monitors, KVM setups and workstation graphics cards that still use DVI, where a thin single-link cable would limit resolution. For new installs with HDMI or DisplayPort on both ends, use those interfaces instead. See all HDMI Cables & Adapters.
✓ Buy it if you need a high-quality 5 m Dual Link DVI-D cable for a 1440p/1600p DVI monitor or KVM.
✕ Skip it if your devices have HDMI or DisplayPort, or you need audio over the cable.
→ Also consider A DVI-D to HDMI cable when one side is HDMI.
