Lindy 43324 — 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub, 5 Gbps
4 x USB-A at 5 Gbps30 cm fixed cableAluminium bodyGenesys Logic GL3510
The Lindy 43324 is the plain version of a four-port hub done properly: one USB-A plug in, four USB-A sockets out, all running at up to 5 Gbps through a Genesys Logic GL3510 controller. The 103 x 26 x 18 mm body is aluminium with plastic side pieces, and the 30 cm fixed cable is long enough to bring the hub round to the front of a laptop or up from a tower without leaving slack on the desk.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The plug is USB-A, so a laptop with only USB-C ports needs an adapter or a different model. The hub is bus-powered and has no DC input at all — there is nowhere to add an external supply, which is the single most important thing to know before pairing it with storage. Keyboards, mice, wireless receivers, flash drives, card readers and one bus-powered SSD are comfortable; two portable hard drives spinning at once are not, and mains-powered devices still need their own adapter. There is no video output and no Ethernet. Lindy rates it for 10 to 40 °C and 20 to 80 per cent humidity.
Best For
✓ Desktops and laptops that have run out of USB-A ports
✓ Keyboards, mice, wireless receivers and dongles
✓ Flash drives and card readers
✓ One bus-powered external SSD at full 5 Gbps
✓ Towers under a desk — the 30 cm cable reaches up
✓ Anyone who wants a metal hub with a published controller
Key Features
Four ports at 5 Gbps
USB 3.2 Gen 1 SuperSpeed on all four sockets, backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices. The bandwidth is shared, so one drive at a time reaches the full rate.
A published controller
Lindy names the chip: a Genesys Logic GL3510. Worth having when a hub needs to be signed off for a fleet, because a known controller means a repeatable compatibility test.
30 cm of fixed cable
Longer than the 10 to 20 cm most compact hubs give you, and captive so there is nothing to lose. It reaches from a tower on the floor or round the back of a monitor.
Aluminium, not hollow plastic
An aluminium body with plastic side parts on a 103 x 26 x 18 mm frame. It stays on the desk when you pull a plug out of it, which a lighter plastic hub does not.

Singular Expert Insight
This is the hub to buy when you want nothing clever — and the two details that make it better than an unbranded equivalent are the named GL3510 controller and the 30 cm cable, which is roughly double what compact hubs give you and quietly solves the “it will not reach” problem. The one hard limit is the absence of a power socket: whatever the host port can spare is the budget, full stop. That makes it excellent for flash drives, receivers and one external SSD, and the wrong choice for a desk full of portable hard drives. If you also want to switch ports off one at a time, the 43309 is the sibling that does it.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You need four USB-A ports at 5 Gbps from a USB-A machine, in a metal hub with a longer-than-usual fixed cable and a named controller.
Skip it if
Skip it if your computer only has USB-C, if you will run more than one bus-powered drive, or if you want per-port switches or an auxiliary power input.
Also consider
Lindy 43309 if you want individual on/off switches per port, or a self-powered hub with its own adapter for several external drives.
